Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 3
by PintheDog

The twenty-fourth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was totally intense. After checking on all of the eliminated campers at the hotel during the last episode, we returned to the game proper, where the final four campers did what they could to jockey for the best possible positions to secure their spots in the final three. Along the way, there were so many alliance jumps and loyalty shifts that ultimately culminated in a tense vote . . . and an even more intense tiebreaker that turned more lighthearted in no time at all.

With the threat of the jury looming, no one was more stressed out by it than Jade and Anastasia. At the moment, their deal to take each other to the final two was standing, and indeed, they both intended to face each other then. But the problem was that they needed to get rid of Hannah and Logan, the two who had fewer enemies on the jury than they did (or so they think — I think that it is true for Hannah, but not for Logan, and Anastasia seemed to agree with that point). So they wanted to cause a possible tiebreaker to beat one of them. At the same time, Hannah and Logan found themselves aligning after being blindsided by Jade’s Steal-a-Vote advantage and decided to target either Anastasia or Jade after the challenge. But that changed when the challenge did not go as planned for their new alliance.

The Immunity Challenge involved one of the best features of carnivals — the bumper cars! In this particular challenge, the campers would drive bumper cars custom-painted to fit their personalities, and they would simply use them to bump into each other for points. They would one point for a rear hit, two for a side hit, and three for a head-on collision if they were the aggressor. But no points would be rewarded if the head-on collision ended with equal reaction. The first camper to twenty points would win immunity and guarantee himself or herself a place in the finale. Both pairs tried to work together to ensure that a member of one of their pairs would win immunity so that they would have their choice of target from the opposing pair.

Just like episode nineteen, and just like I stated above, the episode culminated in the second tiebreaker of the season. And the two tied campers found themselves taking part in a rarely-seen carnival tradition. They’d have to use hoses to fire at targets to both fill and burst three balloons of their assigned color — red or blue. The first to burst all three would win the tiebreaker and proceed to the final three.

With yet another camper down and gone, it’s now down to the final three. The campers left will have to do what they can in the next episode, as means either winning immunity . . . or facing the now-fully-formed jury. Knowing this, what should they do going forward? Can they survive the jury vote, or will they have to secure immunity to avoid facing Benji, Richard, Natalia, Spencer, Marissa, Zaid, Amelie, Isabel . . . and the final juror? It’s advice for the remaining three.

Purple Team

The campers on the merged Purple Team all fought hard to make it to the final three, and along the way, they all made plans and backup plans to get there. And for all but one, the fight was won. But what should they do now that they are heading for the final three?

Jade: I still think that you have the strongest chance to win. You’ve won immunity twice, you’ve had a spot-on strategic game, and your social game has grown so much. You’re right, though, that the jury might be your undoing. If what I learned from the jury roundtable is true, then you might want to hope that Logan wins the final Immunity Challenge so that you can face Anastasia, as she’s the only one whom I feel like could have enough enemies to vote her out over you. Otherwise, try to win the final Immunity Challenge yourself and hope that Anastasia, by some miracle, survives the vote over Logan, as I think that he can beat you on the final challenge, while it’ll be closer with Anastasia.

Anastasia: Congratulations on the immunity win, as well as the plan to ensure that you claimed the victory. Your only mistake was turning on Jade and flipping her to try to vote Logan out when she wanted to go for Hannah. And even worse, Logan didn’t go, as he won the tiebreaker that sealed Hannah’s fate. That said, with only three left, alliances have to go out the window now. Just aim for that final Immunity Challenge win and hope that, by some miracle, Jade survives the jury vote, because like with her, Logan would an easier chance at beating you in the final challenge than she would.

Logan: I actually wanted to put you at the top spot because of Anastasia and Jade fearing you having the fewest enemies on the jury. But I’m really getting a nagging feeling that the show itself telling us that you have so few enemies is actually setting us up to show us that you have more than we are expecting. And why? Because of what you said to Hannah after the vote: “Not that first time I’ve flipped on a friend.” Yeah. You’ve flipped, Logan. Too many times. And I can see that being brought up in front of the jury if you end up facing it, particularly if you’re against Anastasia. I can absolutely see her using that one against you. To avoid the risk of that, your only way of surviving now is to win immunity. If you lose, then you had better hope that the assumptions of you having few to no enemies is right.

Hannah: What went wrong? Plain and simple, you were simply too much of a jury threat. Though you had some enemies (Spencer and Zaid, for sure), it was still fewer than Jade or Anastasia had. Your best bet was to sell yourself to the two of them as being less of a jury threat than Logan and hoping to God that they would agree with you and spare you over Logan in an easy 3–1 vote. But alas, you instead tried to force a tie with Logan with Anastasia’s help and then lost the subsequent tiebreaker. I really loved you, though, and hoped for you to get to the final two so badly. But to have been a recruit who learned about the game and played it hard to get to the final four is nothing at which to sneeze at all!

But that's just MY advice to the campers. Have any advice of your own? Let me know in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 4 . . . Again
by PintheDog

The twenty-third episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was a nice cooldown episode. Rather than see another round of competition from the final four, we instead got to have the standard hotel episode and visit the fourteen voted-out campers to see how they were doing. And even out of the game, the drama was still aplenty among Alessio, Amelie, Ted, Diego, Tristan, Marissa, Lynda, Ivy, Benji, Richard, Natalia, Spencer, Zaid, and Isabel.

Among the events shown were that Lynda had finally gotten to claim the leader-ship position that she’d wanted, teaching a water aerobics class and having Bingo nights with the campers. We also saw that despite clearing the air, Diego still carried a torch for Spencer. Alessio made an interesting talk-to for Ivy even despite saying nothing to her, but just intimidating her with his very look. Zaid is still rightly bitter over getting voted out Logan’s lie, but doesn’t want to feel that anymore (despite having the right to). Ted was annoyed that nobody was willing to play poker with him, though he finally got the chance to do so at the very end of the episode. Isabel is overzealously championing Jade for the win, annoying the hell out of the jurors. And Benji finally made up with Zaid for betraying Ivy, and got his and Ivy’s forgiveness. But possibly the happiest moment was that Tristan, who’d learned from Emily that their parents had cruelly kicked them out of their home after exposing their nastiness toward them on interna-tional television, was going to get a new place to live when Ivy proposed moving to L.A. so that he could move in with her! Oh, and Benji was officially welcomed into the Vibe Tribe with Tristan, Zaid, and Ivy, tying things up with a bow.

The most interesting thing that happened, though, was what happened late in the episode — a roundtable for the jury members that was moderated by Ivy, the final camper voted out before the merge. To remind you, the only members of the jury are those who were voted from the start of the merge and on, which meant that only Benji, Richard, Natalia, Spencer, Marissa, Zaid, Amelie, and Isabel will be voting out this season’s third-place-finisher. Knowing this, all of them discussed the final four campers to decide who among them had played the best and worst games, and would likely be targets for their votes come the final three.

The observations given honestly were a mixed bag to me. I was impressed that the jury rightly discussed the positives and negatives to both Jade and Hannah’s games. Jade was rightly lauded for her strategic prowess and her growth in her social game, but derided for the pirate challenge and not being as sociable as the others in the final four. Hannah was applauded for learning the game as she went along and even scoring some good moves of her own, but criticized for how long she took to actually start playing. However, I was floored — and negatively so — by the complete glazing of Anastasia and Logan’s games. Yes, Anastasia’s temper was mentioned, but her paranoia-based gameplay and her poor social game were completely glossed over. And while Logan’s fair social game was discussed, as well as how late it took him to start truly playing the game for himself (not to mention Zaid rightly bringing up how he unfairly took him out, for which I wanted to slap Natalia for being totally callous about it), his constant flipping and betraying his alliances for purely emotional reasons, and when he was never even in danger, was completely skipped. He has just about no enemies on the jury other than Zaid, even though he should have at least a few more (Marissa and Amelie, for example). It really sounds like the two remaining villains of the season are getting total passes, and that frankly is not good.

After hearing the roundtable, I now have more of an idea of what the final four have to do if they end up facing the jury. But how should they address them? If they plead their cases prior to the vote, then what must they say to avoid the possibility of getting voted out by them? It’s advice for the remaining four . . . again.

Purple Team

The campers on the merged Purple Team are heading for the jury soon, and all of them should be jockeying for position in case they have to face them. Who is surprisingly the safest, and who’s the most vulnerable?

Jade: Despite the criticism that you took, I do think that you’re likely in the best possible position with the jury. Why? Because if you have to make your case to them, then I see you as making a great case to not get voted out by them. I mean, you came into this game all about strategy, and all that you have to do is sell those strategies to the jury. But try to be in front of that jury with either Hannah or Anastasia, as they’re less likely to make good cases. With Logan, if it’s true that he has few enemies, then you’ll be gone sitting next to him. I can see you having Isabel’s vote as a guaranteed one, and Zaid’s since he clearly has grudges against Hannah, Anastasia, and especially Logan. But I think that you’ll only get Spencer’s vote against Hannah and Anastasia. With the endorsement that he gave to Logan on his way out, he’ll probably vote in his favor over yours if you’re sitting next to him.

Logan: Honestly, the only reason that you’re this high is because of the near-total glazing that you got from the jury. The fact that your constant flipping was never a topic of discussion and the jury seems to consider you as having no enemies (other than Zaid) is such a disappointment. The best that I can say is that you should be the safest in front of the jury unless Jade, Hannah, or Anastasia sit next to you and make their cases better. Not much else to say unless you’re asked to explain why you started playing so late. At least explain that, and surviving might be a breeze. For sure, you have the votes of Richard, Natalia, and Spencer locked up. Probably Isabel’s, too, if you’re sitting next to Anastasia or Hannah. But you’ll have to explain your game well enough to get enough votes to survive.

Anastasia: The main thing that troubles me, like Logan, is how much of your game got glazed and glossed over. Still, you can probably survive if you apologize to the people on whom you lost your temper and explain why you played with such paranoia. Of the current jury, I really only see you having the vote of Marissa locked up. You could get Richard’s if you are against Hannah or Jade, but not against Logan. Spencer’s, too, but only against Hannah. So yeah. You have a lot of explaining and apologizing to do if you want any of the others’.

Hannah: The biggest hurdle for you with this jury is your lack of experience and game knowledge due to being a recruit. Explain how you learned to play the game as you went along and the moves you made personally, and it should be easy to win this jury over. Try to sit next to one of the other two women, though, because like with them, I can see it being the hardest for you against Logan. You have Benji and Amelie’s votes guaranteed, no matter your opponent. But how you make your case will determine who else’s votes you get. Or don’t get.

But that's just MY advice. Have any of your own? Let me know in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 4
by PintheDog

The twenty-second episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was, at least to me, a rather average episode. Yet again, alliances shifted and loyalties changed, and the final advantage of the game was used, though admittedly, to great effect, bringing about a shocking blindside as the final five became the final four.

Jade and Isabel remained the only solid pair left in the game, especially due to Anastasia no longer having Marissa, Hannah no longer having Amelie, and Logan no longer having Zaid. But even that seemed to be on the verge of breaking up due to the reveal of the jury twist. Jade was worrying about against whom she would be spared in front of the jury, and against whom she’d be voted out by them. And considering that the jury consisted of Benji, Richard, Natalia, Spencer, Marissa, Zaid, and Amelie, it was something to consider. Meanwhile, Isabel tried to cultivate and rebuild her own relationship with Anastasia, realizing that her newfound hatred of her would hurt her with the jury, especially if she got placed on it. And Hannah had to figure out the right way and time to reveal the information that Amelie had given her — that Logan had lied about Zaid spilling the Isabel blindside plan to jade and Isabel, which had caused the fateful tiebreaker between Anastasia and Marissa — only to have it revealed for her by Logan himself, making the whole thing pretty much a big pile of nothing. (Seriously, Odd Nation Cartoons. Why tease it if you are going to have it come out that way?) Speaking of Logan, with the truth finally out, he and Anastasia seemed to get past it, but not in the way that he thinks. Anastasia clearly plans to use that against him with the jury and has only pretended to forgive him for jury purposes.

The Immunity Challenge saw the campers entering a virtual world just like in season one and All-Stars. But this time, instead of a zombie apocalypse or a stint as superheroes and villains, they would be entering a world reminiscent of a poor man’s Dungeons and Dungeons, this world being the game of Titans and Towers. They would each take a role in this role-playing game and fight their way through a castle, battling deadly monsters along the way, until they reached the throne in the throne room. The first to sit on the throne would win immunity.

Yet another camper is gone, thanks to use of the final advantage left in the game, so we’re now down to the final four. And with the jury vote looming and one more elimination to go before it, the campers might have to consider their jury management, as well as with whom they want to sit in front of the jury. What should they do? With whom should they consider facing the jury? It is advice for the remaining four.

Purple Team
The campers on the merged Purple Team really changed up a lot of their strategies in this episode in preparation for the vote. But in the end, it was a brand-new alliance that won out and got rid of the latest loser.

Jade: With your big move in using your Steal-a-Vote advantage to blindside and vote out Isabel, you’ve shot right to the top of the heap. You have a good set of options in moving forward. You made your pact with Anastasia to make the final three, but assuming that your deal with Logan is real, stick to it, add him to this new alliance, and vote out Hannah next. Then, hope that either you or Anastasia win the Immunity Challenge at the final three so that Logan will probably be the odds-on favorite to get voted out there, as he has a lot for which to answer.

Anastasia: The fact that you were pulled into the new alliance with Jade and asked by her to aid her in her plan to get rid of Isabel must’ve given you great pleasure, considering that you’ve finally avenged Marissa. But now stick with Jade in your pact to get to the final three. I think that Jade would want Logan to join you, but you seem to want him on the jury. If so, then convince Jade to pull in Hannah and get rid of Logan at the final four, and then hope that one of the other two women faces the jury instead of you.

Logan: Good job winning immunity, even though Anastasia pretty much handed it to you. You acted like a man for the first time this entire season by admitting the truth about Zaid’s elimination to Anastasia, thus disarming Hannah of that information. However, you’re lower in the rankings, because you got blindsided by the vote, thus ending up on the wrong side of it. Try to lean into your deal with Jade to get to the final three with her and Anastasia, which means voting out Hannah next. But you might want to consider getting Jade to break that new agreement with Anastasia and take you and Hannah to the final three, not least after Anastasia declared your working relationship in this game over. But then, you’d better win the final Immunity Challenge, because if you don’t, then you will face the jury, and I think that a lot of campers on said jury will want a piece of you due to your flipping.

Hannah: You tried to wield the information about Zaid’s elimination and use it in front of Anastasia. But you chose the wrong time to do so. You should have dropped the bomb at a time that Logan wasn’t there. By doing so when you did, he was able to completely take your power away by telling the truth himself and seemingly heal things with Anastasia (though only we viewers and Anastasia know that he didn’t really heal anything). Even worse, you had your vote stolen and had it used by Jade to get Isabel out of the game. At this point, you might be on the bottom, but don’t give up. With Jade seemingly working with Anastasia now, try to do something with Logan to get to the final three. Then, do your best to avoid facing the jury, just in case you might run into people who would vote you out.

Isabel: What went wrong? Jade said it herself. You were too big of a threat. You’d made one of the biggest “strategic” moves in causing the tiebreaker with your totem and had no enemies save for Anastasia and Zaid, proving your good social game, as well. You also stuck too closely by your alliance with Jade and hoped that it’d survive, not knowing that she was getting ready to snipe you. I would say that you played a very good game to get this far, though. Let’s hope that you can also be a good juror.

But that's just MY advice for the remaining campers. Do you have your own? Feel free to leave it in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 5
by PintheDog

The twenty-first episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was another fine episode. We saw some of the fallout from Zaid’s elimination before then seeing some new strategies form as the campers did their best to make it to the final five. And one of those strategies involved a sneaky bit of sabotage to carry out.

The only solid pairs left standing were Hannah and Amelie and Jade and Isabel. The former pair had been swing votes for a while, but were now content to be solidly in a final four alliance with Anastasia and Logan. But what Hannah did not know was that Amelie was holding a secret over Logan’s head — that he’d leaked the plan to go after Isabel to Jade in episode nineteen, which had caused Isabel to play her totem and force the tragic, fateful tiebreaker between Anasta-sia and Marissa. Now he was under her thumb and had to do whatever she said, or face her telling Anastasia the truth. As you recall in the last episode, he completely took the coward’s way out when he lied on Zaid’s name and said that he was the one who’d leaked the plan, which got him voted out. But to get out of her debt, Logan would make a deal with Jade — a deal that involved getting Amelie out of the game.

The Immunity Challenge saw the campers returning to the ferris wheel from epi-sode seven. They would be divided into pairs. One member of each pair would throw down balls from a car on the ferris wheel while trying to hit targets perched on the heads members of two of the other pairs. Once a target was hit three times, the member of each pair who’d been wearing the head target would then don a blindfold and follow the ferris wheel-riding partner’s voice in retrieving any three balls that’d fallen to the ground. Once all three balls were collected, both partners would head for a puzzle maze and try to navigate each of their three collected balls into recesses, with the first pair to do so winning immunity.

The episode culminated in a new alliance coming together to vote out another threat. But after the elimination, yet another new twist was introduced. Every camper voted out at the merge would make up the first-ever jury of Disventure Camp, and they would have a say in determining the final two. After the final three Immunity Challenge, one camper will win his or her way into the finale, while the jury will vote out the third-place-finisher between the two campers who lose said challenge. That alone caused some pandemonium among all of the surviving campers, as it turned their mindsets in terms of whom to target in the future rounds.

With another camper gone, we’re now down to the final five. And with the jury twist revealed, the campers are going to have to figure out whom they want to take with them in these final rounds, and of whom they want to get rid. It is advice for the remaining five.

Purple Team
The greatest development that we got was learning that, indeed, the Gal Pals 2.0 alliance is done, and everyone is just aligning with whomever is convenient for them. But the final four alliance that we’d thought had formed ended up giving way to a new one, which played a big part in the episode’s elimination.

Hannah: Despite being blindsided in this episode, you’ve actually found yourself in the most powerful position. You can now be a swing vote between the pairs of Isabel/Jade and Anastasia/Logan. But I think that Amelie equipped you with a crucial piece of information (Logan’s lie about Zaid) for a reason. Use it very well. For my personal enjoyment, use it to get Logan out of the game by simply telling Anastasia the plan. Or take Amelie’s place and force Logan under your thumb. Either way, wield the information — and the swing vote position — well to ensure yourself a good three-person majority that can possibly take you into the endgame.

Jade: You had the idea of forming the new alliance that ended up voting out Amelie and taking control of the game. Good work. But with Amelie gone, you and Isabel need to secure a final three with Hannah, her left-behind ally. Use her position as the swing vote to target Anastasia and Logan. Vote both members of that pair out successfully, and you’ll have your final three.

Isabel: Good job winning immunity! Even better job in putting your animosity with Anastasia aside to break up Hannah and Amelie’s swing-vote pair. But it is time to move forward. See my advice to Jade and secure Hannah and her own swing vote and use it to take care of Anastasia and Logan in either order. That way, you can take control of the game and lock in your place at least in the final three.

Anastasia: Good job being the other person to win immunity! I’ll also give you a lot of credit for holding your nose and working with Isabel as part of the new alliance. But with Amelie gone, Hannah is still left. You must quick to snatch her up into a new alliance with yourself and Logan. Use her to help you vote out Isabel and Jade, take control of the game, and secure your place in the final three.

Logan: You started overcoming your fear of water and acted like an adult when you stopped Anastasia and Isabel from fighting. Those are your only good mo-ments for this episode. You also sabotaged the challenge to get rid of Amelie. Bad moment, for sure, as doing so give her carte blanche to blow your secret to Hannah on her way out the door. You need to either make a deal to keep Hannah quiet, get in front of this by confessing to Anastasia before Hannah can tell her, or try to get her voted out (and with your new alliance, that is possible). Otherwise, see my advice to Anastasia, find a way to use Hannah as a swing vote for your dyad, and get rid of Jade and Isabel so you can secure a spot in the final three.

Amelie: What went wrong? You made it too clear that you intended for Logan to stay under your thumb. Once you did, he became so determined to get you out of the game and free himself of your blackmail, he sabotaged the challenge at the last second. Then, with the threat of you and Hannah being swing votes together, Logan did what he always does and flipped yet again, this time to Isabel, Jade, and Anastasia, and in order to lessen the threat of your dyad, the four of them ended your game. But at least you got some damn fine revenge on your way out by potentially blowing up Logan’s.

But that's just MY advice. Have advice of your own? Let me know in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 6
by PintheDog

The twentieth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was very exciting. We got to see the fallout of the tragic tiebreaker between Anastasia and Marissa. We got to see new strategies form. We got see a new camper become the pariah to all. And most importantly, we got to see major character moments from nearly every camper left in the game. Character moments that ultimately led to the strategy used in determining this episode’s elimination.

With the Gal Pals 2.0 blown up thanks to Isabel’s daring move in episode nine-teen, every member was scrambling to find some new alliances. Although Jade and Isabel managed to remain aligned, both of them were afraid of retaliation from everybody else left. And indeed, that was the case, as Zaid was a man on a mission to make Isabel pay for hurting Anastasia, who was all-too-eager to join in the effort after he helped her get out of her slump and regain her fire. Hannah and Amelie also got over their own rough patch and worked on moving forward together. Meanwhile, Logan seemed to be aligned in his new bro alliance with Zaid, but something big would happen to change that. . . .

The Immunity Challenge saw the campers returning to the cornfrield maze from episode five, a whopping fifteen episodes ago. But this time, instead of finding coconuts on scarecrows to shoot at baskets, they would instead be journeying through the maze to answer questions about the campers who’d been eliminated during the merge phase of the game (meaning Benji, Richard, Natalia, Spencer, and Marissa). They would either have to pick a left path or a right path. If they chose correctly, then they would go on like nothing happened. If they chose incorrectly once, then they could also go on like normal. But if they answered incorrectly twice, then they’d fall into a pit and automatically be out of the challenge. Anybody who finished the maze would win immunity, while the losers would be vulnerable to the next vote. Well, two people completed the maze after making a deal with each other.

Meanwhile, a clever display of strategy was shown when one camper tried to trick another into picking both incorrect answers needed to get her out of the challenge, and hopefully leave her vulnerable to getting the vote-off that she deserved. Unfortunately, the one who carried out the strategy did not see it coming that somebody would get the vote turned against him instead. . . .

With another camper gone, the numbers have dwindled down to six. But now what should these six campers do to keep themselves safe going forward if they hope to make the final five? It’s advice for the remaining six.

Purple Team
The biggest topic of discussion was the aftermath of Isabel’s big move in the last episode. Most of the campers based their next move on what to do following that big move, with a few of them considering targeting her. But throughout the move, other moves were made, and some of them with good strategic thinking behind them.

Amelie: You move to the top for the amazing vote split that you pulled off. It really was a stunning move, orchestrating the 4–2–1 split that ultimately ended Zaid’s game. Be aware, though, that Jade is now targeting you because of the huge move that you made. Be ready to deal with Logan, as well, as you now have leverage over him (the fact that he, not Zaid, divulged the plan to vote out Isabel and that she planned to nullify the votes with her totem) that he might want to prevent you from using. Now that you and Hannah are on the same page once again, work together to put together a majority alliance. You have two possible duos in Isabel/Jade and Logan/Anastasia, but neither a great option. But Logan’s too much of a flipper, so choose Isabel and get out the model and the swimmer next. Use the leverage to turn them against each other, too, if you need to.

Hannah: You’re still in a decent spot with two immunity wins and still nobody targeting you. Stick close to Amelie and, as I said with her, pick a pair between Jade and Isabel and Logan and Anastasia and move forward with that pair. In fact, after you cut down a member of the pair whom you don’t choose, scoop up the remaining member and then use him or her to turn on the duo you do choose when five campers are left. That can keep you and Amelie in control of the game all the way to the final three.

Jade: Stunningly, the events of this episode have moved you up, though only because you and Isabel are still a strong, cohesive duo. At this point, the two of you need to stay together and form a new majority. It seems that you have Logan under consideration, but I’d argue against it. This episode reminded us that he’s too much of a flipper to trust. Even with Amelie in your sights, take Isabel and join her and Hannah and vote out one of Anastasia or Logan, and then use the one who remains to turn on Hannah and Amelie, thus taking both Isabel and yourself to the final three.

Isabel: With Zaid gone, you only have to worry about Anastasia targeting you. See my advice to Jade, basically, and work with Amelie and Hannah in voting out one of Anastasia or Logan and using the other to form a new majority ready to vote out the wedding planner and the bartender. Both Anastasia and Logan have pros and cons, though. Anastasia is loyal to her allies, but she has it out for you for what you did to Marissa. Logan doesn’t have a grudge against you, but he’s not loyal to his allies, as Ted, Lynda, Pascal, Spencer, and now Zaid have learned the hard way. Choose wisely if you choose to go forward with one of them.

Anastasia: Marissa’s ouster has lowered your threat level significantly. So take advantage of this. Since you have two duos surrounding you in Isabel and Jade and Hannah and Amelie, you might be stuck with Logan, one of the most un-trustworthy campers left. But you have no choice. Try to work with him and one of the duos to get rid of the other, whether one or both. If just one, then use the remainder of the losing duo to vote out your initially chosen duo and get to the final three with Logan and whomever you choose. Or dump Logan for his flipping (a much smarter move) and go to the final three with whichever two women are left with you at the final four.

Logan: You are, quite literally, the last man standing, and it honestly feels sickening that you are, as your gameplay up to this point has been the worst of all of the male campers this season. You had a bro alliance with Zaid and flipped on it to keep the knowledge of you ratting out Anastasia’s anti-Isabel plan in the last episode a secret. At this point, all you have left is to align with Anastasia again, this time against the two remaining duos in Jade and Isabel and Hannah and Amelie. You and Anastasia are pretty much at the bottom because your duo isn’t nearly as strong or solid as the other two, and you are thus in the worst position. Now that you’ve reminded everybody of what a flipper you are, you’d better work fast to deal with Amelie and the leverage that she has over you, or you could be shown the door next. I honestly hope that you don't win, though, in a Chris Daugherty manner. Chris, loath though I am to admit it, was smart enough to fool the remaining women and win. You, Mr. Bell, are not nearly smart enough to outwit these women.

Zaid: What went wrong? Honestly, man, you got screwed. You were unlucky to have been lied about by Logan, who essentially flipped on your bro alliance to save his own ass from taking the fall for leaking the Isabel vote plan to Jade and Isabel, and Amelie, who knew the truth, said nothing about it, likely to use as leverage against Logan. Add in the fact that this knowledge angered Anastasia, one of the worst campers to anger, and it was all over for you. Thus did the third and final member of the Vibe Tribe make his exit.

But that's just MY advice. Have advice of your own? Let me know in the comments below!

The nineteenth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was, by far, the most intense one. Alliances shifted in a way never seen before, the challenge was gripping and had viewers on the edge of their seats, and a big move (though a very cruel one) was made, bringing out possibly the most heartbreaking elimination of the season, as well as the most exciting one.

The Gal Pals 2.0 had been managed to mend fences temporarily to get rid of Spencer in the last episode, but in this episode, it finally fell apart for good due to trust issues in within the three pairs. Isabel and Jade were finally ready to target Anastasia and Marissa, and Anastasia and Marissa were just as ready to target Isabel and Jade. And Hannah and Amelie’s plan to ride the middle was put in jeopardy, when Hannah wanted to be courted by Anastasia and Marissa, while Amelie wanted to be courted by Isabel and Jade. Meanwhile, Logan and Zaid, stuck at the bottom of the team’s totem pole, suddenly saw the cracks to exploit, and both of them finally took advantage of it, though one of them in a deeper way than the other.

The Immunity Challenge saw the campers racing through the woods and right up the mountain near the carnival, with only a map provided by Emily. They’d also have a flashlight and either a gun or bullets, which would need to be combined into a weapon of protection against a gigantic robotic clown programmed to hunt down and kidnap the campers as they made their way up the mountain. At the top of said mountain were eight flags, one of each camper to retrieve so they could bring it back down to the starting point. The first camper to do so would win immunity. Two campers took incredibly bold, cutthroat, treacherous approaches that ultimately might’ve damaged their relationships with the other campers going forward.

The episode culminated in a vote that resulted in a totem play, and that totem play, in turn, resulted in a tiebreaker between two campers. Those two campers would have to take part in the carnival tradition of dunking tanks, with one camper trying to dunk Trevor, and the other trying to dunk Derek. The first one to do so would stay in the game, thus sending the other one packing. And in a heartbreaking showdown, one camper did send the other home — her closest ally.

With yet another camper out of the game, we have finally moved past the final eight and are now down to the final seven. But what should these campers do now that the latest camper has been voted out? How should alliances be reconfigured with the latest results? It’s advice for the remaining seven.

Purple Team

The Gal Pals 2.0 are definitively done, thanks to the Anastasia/Marissa and the Isabel/Jade dyads going to war, and one dyad came out on top of the other by way of the cruelest move of the season. What is that going to mean for all of the remaining campers left behind in the wake of that move?

Hannah: You remain at the top of the team for the simple reason that nobody is targeting you. But be wary, as now that you’ve won two Immunity Challenges in a row, people might look your way. Your social play with Amelie was not a smart one. Sit down, talk to her, make up, and get your dyad back on track. And try to make things right with Anastasia now that Marissa is gone. Make a new majority alliance with her, Amelie, and Zaid, and the four of you can take control of the game.

Amelie: As Hannah’s right-hand woman, you are still the second-highest of the team. Try to get Hannah to see how much she’s losing her way to preserve the alliance and friendship between the two of you. And now, with Isabel and Jade making their move on Anastasia and Marissa, try to form a new majority with the latter and either Logan, Zaid, or both to take control of the game. That will set yourself and Hannah up very well in heading for the endgame.

Anastasia: Stunningly, losing Marissa might’ve netted you some sympathy from the other campers. I was all set to put you on the bottom until I remembered how much glaring the other campers were doing at Isabel, and how sorry they all felt for you and Marissa. Use this to your advantage and draw in everybody who voted with you and Marissa — Hannah, Amelie, Logan, and Zaid — and try to form a new majority of five against Isabel and Jade. This will help you regain control of the game.

Zaid: The sudden change in momentum has risen you higher. With the members of the Gal Pals 2.0 who were on the wrong side of the totem furious with Isabel and possibly Jade, you and Logan can take advantage of this and join up with those who remain. Approach Anastasia, Hannah, and Amelie for a new alliance of five, or even go without Logan and make an alliance of four. Either way, it’ll help you take control of the game for the first time in a long time.

Logan: Well, well, well, Mr. Bell. Nice to see you finally trying to be strategic (but still not being particularly great at it). Similar to Zaid, you are in a good position to form a new alliance with the betrayed Anastasia, Hannah, and Amelie. However, I doubt that that will be the case, since you and Jade seemed to be on the cusp of forming your own agreement. Whatever it is, form a new majority group quickly to take control of the game.

Jade: You are in a bit of a bind now. Although it was right to split up Anastasia and Marissa, the plan of which you were part to bring this about was savagely cruel and vindictive, and although most of the glares went to Isabel, I am fairly sure that some of the slings and arrows are going to be coming your way, too. At this point, you need to distance yourself from Isabel and go through with the new plan that you have with Logan, whatever it is. Make a new deal with him and bring in any two of Zaid, Hannah, and Amelie (as I don’t think that Anastasia is going to be willing to work with you after that move) to take control of the game.

Isabel: You made probably the biggest move of the season. But it’s moved you down to the bottom. Why? Because just like Spencer’s move against Tristan, you made an incredibly cruel, sadistic, unforgivable move with your totem. It was good to protect yourself, but you should’ve just kept the full vote on Anastasia, not order Jade to split it with you between Anastasia and Marissa, forcing them into that fateful tiebreaker. Every single camper looked at you with anger and even hatred. It was a bold, savage move, but the way in which you went about it was wholly unnecessary. Now you will really have Anastasia on your ass. At this point, your best bet is to hope that Jade still wants to work with you. But unless you win immunity in episode twenty, I think your time is up, as I don’t see anybody else working with you after this.

Marissa: What went wrong? You and Anastasia were too obvious of a duo, and that just left the other Gal Pals practically chomping at the bit to split you up. You both technically did everything right strategically by securing Hannah and Amelie’s votes, as well as Logan and Zaid’s, and you had no way of knowing that Isabel would pull out the totem. But then, you fell victim to her cruel tie vote scheme, and while you could’ve just taken the tiebreaker over the despondent Anastasia, you decided to help her instead, which ultimately ended things for you. And unfortunately, with no more Comebacks, this elimination is for keeps. I am sorry to see you go, but feel like it was a waste that you survived two eliminations since your return, only to go out on the third.

But that's just MY advice for the campers. Do you have advice of your own to offer them? Give it up in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 8 . . . Again
by PintheDog

The eighteenth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was probably the most fun one of the season. The nine remaining campers reeled from the results of previous elimination, and they had to work out ways to move forward. The alliances shifted once again, and the loyalties changed. And as a result of the challenge, everything led up to one of the best, most satisfying eliminations of the season.

The Gal Pals 2.0 had been fractured due to the duplicity of Anastasia in leading the charge against Natalia and getting her voted out in the last episode. Isabel and Jade had firmly lost trust with her and were jonesing to make her pay for it. Especially Isabel, who’d been close with Natalia. Jade had another hang-up, though, in finally, formally cutting strategic ties with Spencer. Meanwhile, Logan and Zaid both woke up to the fact that they had been played by Anastasia into helping out her game at the expense of their own game for weeks (and Logan even realized that he’d thrown his alliance away and pretty much whittled them down just to please Anastasia, who was not even in his alliance) and decided to make up for their mistake by joining up with each other in a bros’ alliance in the hopes of recovering, even to the point of reluctantly pulling in an isolated Spencer, who had lost Logan’s trust upon learning that he’d been responsible for Richard and Natalia’s eliminations.

The Immunity Challenge for this episode was actually something that has been a Reward Challenge on Survivor — the Disventure Camp auction! With Trevor and the newly-forgiven Emily hosting (as a full-fledged host now!), the campers would be given 500 Disventure Camp dollars that could use to bid on various items, be they food, luxuries, advantages, or, in one case, immunity. They had to bid in increments of twenty dollars and hope to have the highest bid. They were not allowed to share items, but they could pool money if they wanted to beat someone in bidding for items. This was used twice to stop one particular camper on everyone’s hit list from winning any item. The auction could stop at any time without warning, so the campers would have to get the items while they could. Unfortunately for three campers — Amelie, Spencer, and Zaid — they wound up being the only ones to not get anything at all.

Another camper has been voted out, and this was a camper whom everybody left in the game was thrilled to see go. But now, with the alliances set in place going forward, the remaining campers must figure out how to proceed as they continue jockeying for the best possible position to make it to the finale. It is advice for the remaining eight . . . again.

Purple Team

The Gal Pals, despite voting differently in the last episode, all came back together once again. This means that the women ruled the roost once more, and the men found themselves on the outside. What does this mean for each member of the merged team going forward?

Hannah: You are now at the top of the Gal Pals 2.0, though not because you are the leader. You being part of the swing-vote pair with Amelie gives you the most power in that alliance, especially with them all back together. Assuming the alliance stays together to vote out Logan and Zaid in either order, you and Amelie must choose correctly between siding with Anastasia and Marissa and Isabel and Jade. Choose the pair that’ll get you as close to the finale possible, not the more threatening pair.

Amelie: As Hannah’s right-hand woman, you are now the second-highest of the Gal Pals 2.0. Mostly see my advice to Hannah and continue playing the middle between Anastasia and Marissa and Isabel and Jade. Vote out Logan and Zaid in either order (preferably Logan first if he doesn’t win immunity), and then, as soon as only the women are left, choose which pair of women with whom you and Hannah will side. I suggest Isabel and Jade since they’d be easier to beat in challenges.

Marissa: You are being looked at as much less of a threat compared to Anastasia, so while you drop in the rankings, you only drop to third. My advice to you is to start paying more attention to the other women in the alliance rather than devote so much time to just Anastasia. Nurture your bond with Hannah and Amelie so that, should Logan and Zaid be the next two voted out, they will side with you and Anastasia over Isabel and Jade. That will help you maintain your control of the game.

Anastasia: You’re kind of worse for the wear now that it’s been exposed exactly how paranoid and impulsive you are the instant that somebody targets you. It showed when Richard got voted out and again when Natalia was, and it almost got you this time. Only Hannah getting you to see that Spencer was attempting to play you saved you from saving him yet again. At this point, see my advice to Marissa and nurture your relationships with Hannah and Amelie (which, by the way, means not being such a bitch to them) and stop spending time only with Marissa. The war between you and Marissa and Isabel and Jade is rife to start once Logan and Zaid are gone (if they’re the next two go), so you will need to get all of the allies you’ll need when the Gal Pals 2.0 start to break up.

Isabel: You manage to rise back up with the Gal Pals 2.0 coming back together, but you’re one of the lower rungs of the ladder right now. Try to entice Hannah and Amelie into siding with you and Jade once Logan and Zaid are gone. Or if you really want to retaliate against Anastasia for Natalia’s ouster, get together with Jade, Logan, and Zaid to vote against Anastasia, Marissa, Hannah, and Amelie. The vote will be a 4-4 deadlock, but one use of Jade’s new Vote Steal advantage will turn it into a 5-3 majority and allow you to take control of the game, potentially with a new alliance.

Jade: Because of the Gal Pals 2.0 ultimately coming back together, you move up. But as you were the one targeted, you are now at the bottom of the women. But now that you have your Vote Steal advantage from the auction, you might be able to take control of the game. See my advice for Isabel and gather Logan and Zaid to join you two. Then, steal the vote of any one of Anastasia, Marissa, Hannah, or Amelie, vote twice, and eliminate anyone of your choice from that foursome with a 5-3 vote. That’ll help you take back control. Or you can just vote out Logan and Zaid next and try and get Hannah and Amelie on your side against Anastasia and Marissa. However, given how much Hannah distrusts you for Amelie, Tristan, and Benji’s vote-offs, that might be a non-starter.

Zaid: You move down for the Gal Pals 2.0 sticking together and leaving you and Logan out of the vote. At this point, all that you can do is work your way in with the women with Logan’s help. Pick a pair with whom to side and hope that they can help you oppose the remaining four women. Doing so will help you get out of the minority and help you take control of the game.

Logan: You’re at the bottom for one reason: you are too much of a threat, being young, male, and very physically fit. You’ve also won a challenge, which makes you even more threatening. At this point, your one way to survive is seeing my advice for Zaid and joining your bros’ alliance with any two women to make a foursome against another foursome. Or try to get three women together. No, that won’t work, as all six women are paired up, just as you and Zaid now are. So either get a pair of women willing to deadlock the vote with you, or try to get in with two pairs. Otherwise, it’s all over.

Spencer: What went wrong? Do we need to ask? Your disgraceful social game. You burned too many bridges to the point that everybody hated you, or simply distrusted you. Even with your strategic acumen and your commendable skills in challenges, you still had to remember the social game, and you just blew it. Add in the fact that you tried to play everybody one too many times, and all of the others just got wise to it. I’m not sad about this, though. I’m glad you are gone and won’t be winning that million dollars.

But that's MY advice. What advice do YOU have for the remaining campers? Let me know in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 9 . . . Once Again
by PintheDog

The seventeenth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was another shocking one. The remaining campers, increased from eight to ten following the thrilling Comeback Challenge, intensified their efforts to win the dollars as alliances changed, loyalties shifted, and allegiances transformed. In the end, a powerful alliance went to war within itself, and the casualty was the one who was . . . pretty much its weakest link.

The Gal Pals 2.0 had been ruling the roost since the first vote of the merge. But all of that came into doubt thanks to trust issues between two of its members — Anastasia and Natalia. The two had been slightly at odds since Natalia had put trying to win immunity and helping Lynda reenter the game to do it over helping Anastasia keep Lynda out of the game. Things had been building from slightly to majorly from there, and in this episode, it finally came to a head as one of them ended up taking the big fall. In other news, Hannah and Amelie, who was freshly back in the game, agreed to ride the middle of the clear divide in the women’s alliance and let both sides go after each other. Jade and Isabel agreed to prioritize targeting Spencer, while Zaid started reconsidering his loyalty to Anastasia, wondering if he was just a tool to her (and her spending all of her time with Marissa didn’t help). Finally, a crucial bit of information came out during the challenge that cost Spencer possibly the last ally he had . . . at least until a new alliance opportunity came along.

The Immunity Challenge for this episode was a callback to a challenge in season three’s All-Star season, only with a twist. If you recall the lie-detector helmet challenge, the campers were forced to wear helmets of that type as they asked each other yes-or-no questions that they had to answer truthfully. But here is where the twist came in. They would ask each other these questions as they hung onto bars hanging over a wide gorge, with water and rocks below. Only three ropes were there to help hold them up in addition to the bars that they were already holding. If answered a question truthfully, then the person who asked them said question would lose a rope. If they were detected to be lying, then they themselves would lose a rope. If they fell from their bars, whether they’d lost all of their ropes or not, then they would be out. The last one hang-ing would win immunity. The challenge was won in a clutch by Logan, which I kind of figured it would be since both the thumbnail on the YouTube channel and the episode itself put so much focus on him. A lot of meaningless questions were asked . . . but a few that really changed up the dynamics of the campers were also asked, particularly toward the end of the challenge. . . .

With a long-simmering feud finally erupting, a war has erupted, and as a result, the remaining campers must think of what they’ll build from the ashes. With new battle lines drawn, it’s time to wonder if the Gal Pals will survive . . . or if they’re truly over and seeking new avenues. It’s advice for the remaining nine . . . again.

Purple Team
The Gal Pals had been running things around camp, but that might have finally come to an end thanks to two of its members going to war with each other, and one of them getting rid of the other. I don’t know if the remaining members of said alliance will stay together or start working with the remaining men, but it will be exciting to find out the answer to that in the next episode. Until then, I am ranking them based on who was part of this episode’s majority, and who was not.

Anastasia: You made a new majority alliance, though I do not know if it was a permanent one. If it is, then keep watch over it with Marissa, and stay loyal to Hannah and Amelie, lest they consider flipping to those left out of the vote. I think that Zaid needs more reassurance that you value him, too, because he is starting to doubt your true dedication to him. Handle these issues and you can ride this new alliance to the end. It is also important that you get rid of Spencer once the numbers allow, because he cannot be trusted, and he can possibly go on an immunity run if you’re not careful enough.

Marissa: Good plan to step back and let Anastasia take the lead. If your duo’s ever targeted, then she’ll take the shots over you. Still, see my advice to her and do what it takes to keep Hannah and Amelie loyal to you. Make sure you keep on eye on Zaid, as well. Spencer is all right as an extra vote for now, but be ready to sack him even before it gets down to the six of you if his threat level increases.

Hannah: You have likely become more important now, thanks to being part of the new alliance. You and Amelie need to lie low, as you said, and let the big shots take each other out. If necessary, jump to other pairs or groups and offer your votes to them. But for now, staying with Anastasia and Marissa is smart. But as I said with them, be ready to vote out Spencer when you no longer need him.

Amelie: As I said with Hannah, it’s smart of you to lie low and let all the bigger targets, threats, and leaders go after each other. You two can move between and among the campers as needed and offer up your votes. Be careful to stay logical and focused without reverting to your old ways, though, because you’ll attract more attention to yourself if you do.

Zaid: Assuming that Anastasia wants to keep this new alliance as her main one for the time being, you have moved up. But as you’re not one of the women of the alliance, there’s a chance that you’re closer to the bottom, given that Anastasia typically trusts women more than she does men. Keep with this alliance for now, but as you’re clearly doubting Anastasia’s reliance on you, be ready to jump and look for new options. I would suggest Isabel and Jade, but you likely don’t trust them after they voted Ivy out. But you still might need to work with them, Logan, and, reluctantly, Spencer if you feel the need to overthrow Anastasia’s new alliance.

Isabel: Despite not being part of the majority vote, I don’t think that you are in any real danger just yet. But you have dropped greatly due to being outside of the vote at all. Try and slowly integrate your way into the new majority and, if necessary, get the Gal Pals 2.0 back on track, even if only to get close to Anastasia so you can shank her for Natalia’s vote-off. It might be your only shot if you don’t want to get voted out next for being part of the new minority.

Jade: You also move down for being outside of the vote. Also, you have been a target before, which also puts you lower. I think that you might be out of the crosshairs of many campers right now, though, so you avoid the bottom. Still, with Isabel’s help, work your way back up and break into the majority. I suggest taking Hannah and Amelie from Anastasia and Natalie and forming a new majority with Logan to take out Anastasia and Marissa. It might be a good way to regain control of the game if you don’t want to get the Gal Pals 2.0 back on the right track.

Spencer: You were part of the majority, but I can’t rank you as high as the rest of your new alliance. For starters, I get the feeling that Anastasia just needed you as the sixth vote needed to count for the majority of ten campers so that a vote-off of Natalia could be possible. But now that she’s accomplished that, it is clear that you should be careful. She no longer needs you and can cut you at any time. With nobody wanting to truly work with you long-term — not even Logan after what he learned at the challenge — you may need to rely on what-ever arguments you can use to persuade people to target others over you. But if not, then you’ll need a well-timed immunity run inside. Otherwise, you’ll be out next.

Logan: It really was between you and Spencer for who was at the bottom. But Spencer at least has the possibility of an alliance who wants to hold on to him, while you have no allies left whatsoever, given the loss of Natalia and Spencer being dropped from your esteem. Though I need to take you to task a bit over your hypocrisy of Spencer flipping on you and Richard being unforgivable when you yourself flipped on Richard several times (and on Ted, Lynda, and Spencer, too) during the team stage and damaged all of your games in the process. That said, you pretty much have no one now, so you need to work fast. Try to work with Isabel, Jade, and Zaid to form a new group, and if Spencer is the target, you’ll need to try and convince Anastasia and/or Marissa to make a majority. It is your only chance, because after you showed yourself to be a challenge threat in this episode, you’re going to be a target yourself without a new alliance.

Natalia: What went wrong? Easy. You were riding easily with the Gal Pals till you started getting a bleeding heart for Logan and Richard’s minority position, which was when you considered flipping on the women. Once Anastasia realized what you were up to, as well as your attempt to help Lynda reenter the game in episode eleven, it was pretty much the beginning of the end. Anastasia ceased to trust you, and once you considered flipping on the new Gal Pals, too, you lost trust with pretty much all of the women. Then, you divulged your plan to get rid of Anastasia to the wrong person (Zaid), who relayed the plan to her, and it was all over.

. . . But that's just MY advice. Do you have your OWN advice of what the campers should do? Let me know in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 10 . . . Once Again
by PintheDog

The sixteenth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was certainly a shocking one . . . in both a good way and a bad way. We got to witness the long-awaited return of a bunch of familiar faces, and then see where they stood with the campers playing the game.

There wasn’t much strategy featured in this episode. All we saw was that the long-held alliance of Jade and Spencer finally came to an end with the latter’s decision to target the former last week. We know now that it was Anastasia’s idea, but the execution of it served only to harm Spencer, and greatly benefit Anastasia. It also benefited a pleased Isabel, who delighted in Jade moving a lot closer to her as a result of the move. Also on the Spencer front, he agreed to simply being friends with Logan, whom he had kissed during the haunted house challenge in the previous episode.

But the main event of this episode was the long-awaited Comeback Challenge. Yes, having now “[waited] a couple of losers” since the Rescue Island episode, we saw the return of Alessio, Amelie, Ted, Diego, Tristan, Marissa, Lynda, Ivy, Benji, and Richard as they came back for one last chance to rejoin the game! And what a chance they’d have! They would have to become circus acts, first by digging through the sand to uncover purple darts that they would throw at targets to pop balloons. Then, they would run into the Stawaki Carnival’s big top tent, climb up a ladder, and try to cross a tightrope while avoiding cannonballs being shot at them. Then, once at the other end, they’d jump into a huge tank of water. Then, they’d juggle four balls as they made their way to a finish line, but would have to restart that part of the challenge if they dropped those balls before the end. With the exception of the last part of the challenge, eight of the eliminated campers would work with a camper still in the game if they were chosen by said camper. Only two were left on their own. The campers picked based on the order of their performance in the haunted house challenge, with Isabel selecting Marissa, Spencer selecting Diego, Zaid selecting Tristan (at the insistence of Ivy, who wanted to give them a second chance more than she wanted one), Anastasia selecting Ivy, Jade selecting Benji, Logan selecting Richard, Natalia selecting Alessio, and Hannah selecting Amelie. This left Ted and Lynda to go it alone with no partners. The first two eliminated campers to reach the finish line would win the Comeback Challenge and rejoin the game. And I have to say, I was only semi-surprised by one returnee, and completely surprised by the other.

. . . But I’m also disappointed by who didn’t return. Let me first pour one out, raise a glass, and offer a moment of a silence for Mr. Ted Gordon, a character who was teased to have so much potential as a villain for this season, but was taken from us too soon thanks to the weak flip-flopping of the increasingly pathetic simp, Logan Bell. I truly did think that he could’ve brought so much to this season had he not got-ten badly screwed over in episode four. And I also thought that episode thir-teen’s visit to Rescue Island was setting up his and Alessio’s return, given how much of the focus was on them. But in hindsight, there was a lot of focus on one of the two actual returnees, so I should’ve expected that to happen, too. Still, I have to mourn what might’ve been with Ted and hope to God can still happen with him in a later season. Maybe a season with early boots? Like, a Fallen Stars or a redemption season? Please? And I have to shake my head at the Odd Nation Cartoons writers for their choice to give us the returnees that we did get.

In any case, two campers won their way back into the game, meaning that we have increased our numbers from eight and back to ten. This means that from here on in, we have an elimination run right down to the hotel episode (if there is one), and everybody will have to fight to keep themselves in the best possible position to avoid being sent to the hotel with the eliminated campers who didn’t return. It’s advice for the remaining ten . . . again.

Purple Team

The Gal Pals are still ruling the roost, and as a result of this challenge, it seems as though their numbers advantage has increased from five to three to seven to three. Will they keep their lead up and get rid of another man? Or are there some women itching to make a move and upset the status quo? And what can the remaining three men do?

Isabel: You remain on top for the sheer reason that everybody still trusts you, and nobody is targeting you. However, you’d better watch out in case Anastasia and Marissa are suspicious of you. You actually tried to keep Marissa out of the game, something that she might’ve noticed. For now, revert to the Gal Pals and vote out at least one more man. Then, use the remaining two men and at least a few of the Gal Pals to split up Marissa and Anastasia, if necessary.

Jade: It is strange, but I’ve moved you up since the returnees might be targeted ahead of you. Plus, you’ve ditched Spencer and have gone all in with Isabel and the other Gal Pals. Stay close to her and keep the women united for maybe one more vote, and then, if you must, turn inward only to split up Anastasia and Marissa. But return to getting rid of the remaining men after that. I suggest taking out Spencer soon, before he takes you out. He’s the only one of the men whom I truly believe is bright enough to target you.

Hannah: You move up since I find it highly unlikely that you’ll be targeted any time soon, even in spite of getting a number and ally back into the game. Just lay low with Amelie and do what you can to quietly rack up some new allies. I can sense a war brewing within the Gal Pals. Just try to land on the right side of it and maybe even stage a coup with the remaining men. But do so in a way that you still end up on the right side of your new numbers in the end.

Amelie: Welcome back to the game! You’re the returnee who completely surprised me! Now that you’re back, work on reestablishing your duo with Hannah and decide on whether to stick with the Gal Pals or try to make a big move by getting some help from the men. As I said with Hannah, if you choose to move against the Gal Pals with the men, then do so in a way that favors you rather than leaves the men up in numbers instead. Otherwise, you and Hannah might get picked off.

Anastasia: You move down for one major reason: your main ally and girlfriend got back into the game, which will now make you both a duo just begging to be targeted. Do what you can to keep enough of the Gal Pals loyal to both of you, because I can see Isabel trying to move against you if you don’t. Only if it is necessary, get at least two of the men together (I suggest Logan and Zaid) to move against at least one or two Gal Pals who might target you and Marissa. Then, focus back on the men and get them out before they can make a move against the women.

Marissa: Congratulations on your return! You were the returnee who only partially surprised me. As I said with Anastasia, the two of you might become a power couple whom some of the other campers will want to target. Stave this off by making the right connections with people who actually want to trust you both and work with you. Although the Gal Pals seem like a good idea on the surface, you might want to consider some connections with your original Blue Team members to help you out if the women aren’t all on the same page. With help from Anastasia’s connection with Logan, it might be worth a shot.

Natalia: You may be part of the Gal Pals, but you are now on the bottom of the alliance. You tried to flip to the men too soon and lost not only Natalia’s trust, but that of most of the other women. Your best bet is to just go with the flow and hope that the women do not decide to cut you off out of not trusting you. I suggest working with Hannah and Amelie to stage a coup with the men. That might be your best play right now.

Zaid: Due to having some favor with Anastasia, you might be safe for a while if she wants you to be, and if you both play your cards right. Stick with her and Marissa for now and, if it seems like the Gal Pals are holding, jump off the sink-ing ship that is Logan and Spencer. Integrate with the Gal Pals instead and try to stage a big move of your own with Anastasia, Marissa, and whoever else might be willing to move with you.

Logan: You and Spencer are in the worst position right now. You are a man, and your only real female connection is Natalia, who has very little influence within the Gal Pals. Anastasia is your friend, but she will stick out a hand to save you unless she absolutely needs to (and Richard’s vote-off proves that she probably doesn’t). Hold on with Spencer and try to look for some cracks within the Gal Pals and exploit any that you find to work your way in. Otherwise, it’ll be a matter of who goes first between you and Spencer.

Spencer: You are down at the bottom of the barrel right now. Nobody likes or trusts you except for Logan. (Well, Jade likes you, but she does not trust you anymore.) At this point, you’d better win immunity, hunt for totems, or, as I’ve just said with Logan, find a crack to work your way in. You are a marked man with the Gal Pals unless they seriously, severely implode, which, of the three remaining men — and it pains me to say this — you’re the only one left who’ll have the skill to make them implode in the first place.

. . . But that's just MY advice. Have any of your own? Let me know in the comments below!

Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 8
by PintheDog

The fifteenth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was an intense one. With the remaining campers now divided along gender lines, the battle was on to jockey for position in the majority alliance. However, it was a risky move by one camper to survive that only landed his alliance in even hotter water, as one other member took the fall, and he risked with standing with the remaining members of his alliance.

Early on, we heard some strategy from various campers. Hannah, while devastated about Benji’s prior vote-off, got a pep talk from Natalia and got her head back in the game, deciding to stick with the women for now. But Natalia was ready to jump on the women when she was able to do so, trying to groom Logan and Richard for her future attempt at flipping. Meanwhile, Spencer and Jade’s alliance seemed on the cusp of breaking up, and by episode’s end, more or less seemed like it had.

The Immunity Challenge of this episode saw the campers entering the Stawaki Haunted Mansion. In this mansion, they would make their way through three different rooms, hoping to complete the various tasks and challenges in each of them. In the first room, they were to use books to find four specific ones with numbers on them and use them to open a combination lock to open the door to the second room. But they’d have to be fast, because any camper could use that door to lock other campers out, something that Hannah and Natalia found out the hard way, courtesy of Spencer. The second room was split into three challenges — fighting through rats, trying to reach a chandelier, and trying to cross a glass bridge, each to reach one of three keys needed to open the lock to the third and final room. It was possible to lose the challenge here by either falling through trapdoors or making a bad step on the glass bridge. Logan fell victim to the former, while Jade and Richard fell victim to the latter. Finally, a frightening encounter with Nina’s evil sister from Disventure Camp: Staff Stories made up the third room, and the campers remaining there — Anastasia, Isabel, Spencer, and Zaid — would have to get a knife from her and use it to cut a rope blocking the door leading out of the mansion. The first camper to exit would win immunity.

In the end, an endangered camper played a valuable card to save himself from the vote, but he didn’t quite get the optimal result, as he still lost two allies — one to the vote, and one by betraying her. So as the game continues proceeding along gender lines, what should the campers do now? And hey! I haven’t quite forgotten about Trevor’s “wait a couple of losers” line from episode thirteen. It’s now been two episodes and two eliminations, so I’m pretty sure that the next episode will be the long-awaited Comeback challenge! Knowing that, who will be coming back? And what should the campers remaining do while we wait to find out? It’s advice for the remaining eight.

Purple Team

The Gal Pals continued to prevail in this episode, though for how much longer they will be in control really depends on how united they can remain. But the men aren’t giving up yet. Can they try and take back some power?

Isabel: Congratulations on winning immunity! You continue to be the top con-tender to win since nobody is bringing up your name for the boot. You seem to be on good terms with everybody, and your partnership with Jade continues to be strong. Keep the Gal Pals together for at least one more vote, and then, if you detect anyone willing to defect, pull in Logan and Zaid (if neither one goes home next) as numbers to cut loose any woman considering flipping. Anastasia or Natalia, to start.

Hannah: It is kind of surprising that I have you up so high, given the number of times that you’ve been outplayed. But the fact is that no one seems to be considering you as a threat right now, so it is best that you just go under the radar for the time being. Stick with the Gal Pals for at least another vote, but if you find any other women who might want to flip, work with them to flip to whichever men remain to take control of the game.

Anastasia: You are third since you are still somewhat of a threat. I was worried about you falling for Spencer’s spiel about Natalia at first, since you’d wanted to get him out so badly, but in some ways, taking his words to heart helped out a bit. You got rid of Richard and cut off a number for Natalia in case she does indeed want to flip in the future. Keep her close in case you get ready to flip, but get rid of another man first. Preferably Spencer. Then, you can take Logan and Zaid as your loyal soldiers, recruit one of the women, and take control of the game.

Jade: You drop down quite a bit since you were a target this week and came a great deal close to getting voted out. At this point, now that Spencer has officially betrayed you, it’s time to move on from him and dive in headlong with Isabel. Stay with her and keep the Gal Pals 2.0 for as long as you can. But if that becomes impossible, then just pull in Hannah and Zaid and move forward with a majority alliance of the four of you.

Natalia: You’re now at the bottom of the Gal Pals 2.0. I want to put you high-er, since you’ve still never been a target, but writing-wise, I get the feeling that it’s going to be your time to go soon. Anastasia is on to you now more than ever, having made you vote out Richard. She cut off one of your numbers for a flip, so you’ll only have Logan left now, and that’s if you want to flip only with him. At this point, you’ll have to stick with the Gal Pals 2.0 for now and wait for a new opportunity. Or maybe hope that the right campers come back from the Comeback Challenge to give you the opportunity that you’ll need.

Zaid: I think that I have you at the top of the men because the women do not see you as a threat at all. However, you’d better have a good reason for voting for Jade after they protected you in the last episode. Make nice with Anastasia and work with her going forward. You mignt need her if she chooses to turn inward on the Gal Pals 2.0. Sticking with Logan and Spencer’s sinking ship is not a good move for you.

Logan: With Richard gone and Natalia neutered, your options are very few. At this point, fall back on your relationship with Anastasia and hope that she keeps you over Spencer and Zaid. Your best option is trying a new alliance with her, Natalia, and Zaid to move forward. Try that option and take back control of the game. But then again, you’re an emotional player, not a logical player, so I doubt that you can pull that off.

Spencer: You are public enemy number one. Anastasia, Isabel, Hannah, Natalia, and Zaid all worked together to stop you from winning immunity, which really says something about how they all hate you. While I can give you reluctant credit for turning the target off yourself, I can’t give you full credit, because you didn’t turn the tide toward Natalia like you wanted. Anastasia instead was able to play you into voting out your original number-one ally, and by attempting to do so, you’ve undoubtedly lost all trust with her. Add in the awkward kiss with Logan, as well as saving yourself in a way that resulted in his ally, Richard, getting voted out, and you’re pretty much in a weak position. You saved yourself, yes, but you’re worse for the wear. Unless a miracle comes for you — like the right camper or campers returning from the Comeback challenge — then I think that you’re the next one to go. Hope for someone willing to help you stage a comeback of your own if you want any hope of salvaging your position in the game.

Richard: What went wrong? You were on the wrong side of the numbers, with the Gal Pals 2.0 still outnumbering the men. In addition, once Spencer got to Anastasia, she saw the danger in Natalia flipping, which made her decide not to get rid of her, but get rid of one of her potential numbers for her planned flip instead. In other words, Spencer saving himself essentially put you behind the eight ball.

But that's MY advice. You have your own advice for how the final eight should proceed? Let me know in the comments below!
