Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos – Advice for the Remaining 6
by PintheDog

The twentieth episode of Disventure Camp 4: Carnival of Chaos was very exciting. We got to see the fallout of the tragic tiebreaker between Anastasia and Marissa. We got to see new strategies form. We got see a new camper become the pariah to all. And most importantly, we got to see major character moments from nearly every camper left in the game. Character moments that ultimately led to the strategy used in determining this episode’s elimination.

With the Gal Pals 2.0 blown up thanks to Isabel’s daring move in episode nine-teen, every member was scrambling to find some new alliances. Although Jade and Isabel managed to remain aligned, both of them were afraid of retaliation from everybody else left. And indeed, that was the case, as Zaid was a man on a mission to make Isabel pay for hurting Anastasia, who was all-too-eager to join in the effort after he helped her get out of her slump and regain her fire. Hannah and Amelie also got over their own rough patch and worked on moving forward together. Meanwhile, Logan seemed to be aligned in his new bro alliance with Zaid, but something big would happen to change that. . . .

The Immunity Challenge saw the campers returning to the cornfrield maze from episode five, a whopping fifteen episodes ago. But this time, instead of finding coconuts on scarecrows to shoot at baskets, they would instead be journeying through the maze to answer questions about the campers who’d been eliminated during the merge phase of the game (meaning Benji, Richard, Natalia, Spencer, and Marissa). They would either have to pick a left path or a right path. If they chose correctly, then they would go on like nothing happened. If they chose incorrectly once, then they could also go on like normal. But if they answered incorrectly twice, then they’d fall into a pit and automatically be out of the challenge. Anybody who finished the maze would win immunity, while the losers would be vulnerable to the next vote. Well, two people completed the maze after making a deal with each other.

Meanwhile, a clever display of strategy was shown when one camper tried to trick another into picking both incorrect answers needed to get her out of the challenge, and hopefully leave her vulnerable to getting the vote-off that she deserved. Unfortunately, the one who carried out the strategy did not see it coming that somebody would get the vote turned against him instead. . . .

With another camper gone, the numbers have dwindled down to six. But now what should these six campers do to keep themselves safe going forward if they hope to make the final five? It’s advice for the remaining six.

Purple Team
The biggest topic of discussion was the aftermath of Isabel’s big move in the last episode. Most of the campers based their next move on what to do following that big move, with a few of them considering targeting her. But throughout the move, other moves were made, and some of them with good strategic thinking behind them.

Amelie: You move to the top for the amazing vote split that you pulled off. It really was a stunning move, orchestrating the 4–2–1 split that ultimately ended Zaid’s game. Be aware, though, that Jade is now targeting you because of the huge move that you made. Be ready to deal with Logan, as well, as you now have leverage over him (the fact that he, not Zaid, divulged the plan to vote out Isabel and that she planned to nullify the votes with her totem) that he might want to prevent you from using. Now that you and Hannah are on the same page once again, work together to put together a majority alliance. You have two possible duos in Isabel/Jade and Logan/Anastasia, but neither a great option. But Logan’s too much of a flipper, so choose Isabel and get out the model and the swimmer next. Use the leverage to turn them against each other, too, if you need to.

Hannah: You’re still in a decent spot with two immunity wins and still nobody targeting you. Stick close to Amelie and, as I said with her, pick a pair between Jade and Isabel and Logan and Anastasia and move forward with that pair. In fact, after you cut down a member of the pair whom you don’t choose, scoop up the remaining member and then use him or her to turn on the duo you do choose when five campers are left. That can keep you and Amelie in control of the game all the way to the final three.

Jade: Stunningly, the events of this episode have moved you up, though only because you and Isabel are still a strong, cohesive duo. At this point, the two of you need to stay together and form a new majority. It seems that you have Logan under consideration, but I’d argue against it. This episode reminded us that he’s too much of a flipper to trust. Even with Amelie in your sights, take Isabel and join her and Hannah and vote out one of Anastasia or Logan, and then use the one who remains to turn on Hannah and Amelie, thus taking both Isabel and yourself to the final three.

Isabel: With Zaid gone, you only have to worry about Anastasia targeting you. See my advice to Jade, basically, and work with Amelie and Hannah in voting out one of Anastasia or Logan and using the other to form a new majority ready to vote out the wedding planner and the bartender. Both Anastasia and Logan have pros and cons, though. Anastasia is loyal to her allies, but she has it out for you for what you did to Marissa. Logan doesn’t have a grudge against you, but he’s not loyal to his allies, as Ted, Lynda, Pascal, Spencer, and now Zaid have learned the hard way. Choose wisely if you choose to go forward with one of them.

Anastasia: Marissa’s ouster has lowered your threat level significantly. So take advantage of this. Since you have two duos surrounding you in Isabel and Jade and Hannah and Amelie, you might be stuck with Logan, one of the most un-trustworthy campers left. But you have no choice. Try to work with him and one of the duos to get rid of the other, whether one or both. If just one, then use the remainder of the losing duo to vote out your initially chosen duo and get to the final three with Logan and whomever you choose. Or dump Logan for his flipping (a much smarter move) and go to the final three with whichever two women are left with you at the final four.

Logan: You are, quite literally, the last man standing, and it honestly feels sickening that you are, as your gameplay up to this point has been the worst of all of the male campers this season. You had a bro alliance with Zaid and flipped on it to keep the knowledge of you ratting out Anastasia’s anti-Isabel plan in the last episode a secret. At this point, all you have left is to align with Anastasia again, this time against the two remaining duos in Jade and Isabel and Hannah and Amelie. You and Anastasia are pretty much at the bottom because your duo isn’t nearly as strong or solid as the other two, and you are thus in the worst position. Now that you’ve reminded everybody of what a flipper you are, you’d better work fast to deal with Amelie and the leverage that she has over you, or you could be shown the door next. I honestly hope that you don't win, though, in a Chris Daugherty manner. Chris, loath though I am to admit it, was smart enough to fool the remaining women and win. You, Mr. Bell, are not nearly smart enough to outwit these women.

Zaid: What went wrong? Honestly, man, you got screwed. You were unlucky to have been lied about by Logan, who essentially flipped on your bro alliance to save his own ass from taking the fall for leaking the Isabel vote plan to Jade and Isabel, and Amelie, who knew the truth, said nothing about it, likely to use as leverage against Logan. Add in the fact that this knowledge angered Anastasia, one of the worst campers to anger, and it was all over for you. Thus did the third and final member of the Vibe Tribe make his exit.

But that's just MY advice. Have advice of your own? Let me know in the comments below!
