Your hardest days might be your biggest blessings!
It's from Allah's wisdom that He tests His servants. Tests come in both good times and hard times. The more trials increase, the more good deeds you earn.
This hadith encourages patience and acceptance when trials come. Accept them, and Allah will be satisfied with you. Reject them, and you lose both peace now and rewards later.

Is it true that attending Eid prayer exempts you from the obligation of Friday prayer?
Scholars have differed on whether those who pray the Eid prayer are exempted from Jumu'ah when both fall on the same day.
One of the companions asked Zaid ibn Arqam: "Did you witness with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ two Eids that fell on the same day?" Zaid replied: "Yes." When asked what the Prophet ﷺ did, Zaid said: "He prayed the Eid prayer, then gave permission regarding the Friday prayer." The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever wishes to pray (Jumu'ah) may pray it, and whoever wishes not to, there is no harm." (Sunan Abu Dawud 1070)
Some scholars explained the wisdom behind this: Friday is an Eid, and Eid al-Fitr/al-Adha are also Eids. When two acts of worship of the same type coincide, Islamic law often incorporates one into the other - just as wudu is incorporated into ghusl.
Important reminder: If someone chooses to skip Jumu'ah after praying Eid, they must still pray Dhuhr! ⏰

In part of an aayah, Allah says:
🔹 ❛But My mercy encompasses everything.❜ 【Surah al-A’raf 7:156】
Allah says that His rahmah is large in quantity and powerful in its quality! Allah wants us to know, that no matter how evil a person is, but has genuinely repented to Allah and changed their ways, as well as returned the rights of others, His rahmah will encompass any sin and forgive him. This is why Allah says in an authentic hadith:
🔹 ❛O son of Adam, if you came to me with sins nearly as great as the earth, and then you met Me not associating anything with Me, I would come to you with forgiveness nearly as great as it.❜ 【At-Tirmidhi 3540 | Graded Fair】
But we learn in another hadith that Rasulullah ﷺ said:
🔸 ❛Follow the right course, be devoted, and give glad tidings. Verily, none of you will enter Paradise by his deeds alone.❜ The companions said: ❛Not even you, O Rasulullah?❜ He ﷺ said: ❛Not even myself, unless Allah grants me His mercy. Know that the most beloved deed to Allah is done regularly, even if it is small.❜ 【Sahih al-Bukhari 6464 & Sahih Muslim 2818】
Perhaps some may ask: If it’s all about Allah’s rahmah, then what’s the point of putting in the work if my good deeds alone will not get me to Jannah?
The answer is: It is both Allah’s rahmah and our effort. When we put in a little bit of work, then Allah will give us His encompassing, maximum rahmah. The prerequisite is that we still need to do the effort, to show Allah that we are trying and doing our best!
May Allah make us among those who receive His rahmah in this dunya and in the akhirah.

🔹 ❛And do not weaken in pursuit of the enemy — if you are suffering, they too are suffering. But you can hope to receive from Allah what they can never hope for. And Allah is All-Knowing, All-Wise.❜ 【Surah an-Nisa 4:104】
In this aayah, Allah addresses the believers’ pain and suffering after so much bloodshed took place in the Battle of Uhud. He says don’t give up! The believers are suffering, but Allah says so too are the enemies. Behind their curated speeches and closed doors, know that they are in distress as well.
But the difference between our pain and their pain — between the loss of lives, the shedding of tears by our oppressed brothers and sisters and the oppressors — is that the fallen believers are going to Jannah, where there is peace and happiness for all eternity, in shaa Allah.
As for those who passed away among the opponents of Allah, they have no hope in His rahmah, and they will suffer a far greater pain than what they’ve experienced in this dunya.
Then Allah ends the aayah by reminding us that He is All-Knowing, All-Wise. To us, it may seem like victory is taking too long to reach us, it may seem that the oppressors’ punishment is being delayed. But Allah tells us that He is Wise, so we must trust His Knowledge and His Wisdom, and to remain optimistic for His sake.
Do not lose hope, do not give up. Continue pushing forward. May Allah grant us all success.

Share the message. The last day is Monday, April 28, in shaa Allah.
🌙 Don't miss this golden opportunity! The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ taught us about the immense reward of fasting in Shawwal:
"Whoever fasts Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it will be as if he has fasted for the entire year." [Sahih Muslim]
Time is running out - only one week left to complete these blessed fasts before Shawwal ends. Take advantage of this mercy from Allah while you still can.

🔹 ❛Those who disbelieve should not think that living longer is good for them. They are only given more time to increase in sin, and they will suffer a humiliating punishment.❜ 【Surah Ali Imran 3:178】
Allah says that the disbelievers who fight Allah’s Deen, His Messenger ﷺ and the believers, the oppressors who abuse others and take the rights of the weak — they’d better not think that the long lives, wealth and power they’re enjoying right now are all good for them. Rather, they are given these “ease” so that they will accumulate more sins and thus will face a more severe punishment in the akhirah.
This aayah gives the believers hope. Because now, when we see these oppressors who seem to be so powerful and unstoppable, we know that they are all under Allah’s control, and that they are all digging a bigger hole for themselves.
Indeed, if Allah gives us a worldly matter, it does not necessarily mean Allah is pleased with us. And if Allah takes a worldly matter away from us, it does not necessarily mean Allah is displeased with us. What matters is how strong our imaan is and how much we obey Him subhanahu wa ta'ala.
May Allah help our oppressed brothers and sisters, and grant us all unwavering imaan and unshakeable tawakkul upon Him.

How do we attain barakah in our health, wealth, and all other aspects?
Let me give you an example first. For any building, there is the main key to the main door, and then there are several other keys for the other rooms. So, if we have the other minor keys, but not the main key, then it would be pointless. When we have the main key, only then will we be able to utilise all other keys.
So, what is the main key to gaining barakah? Allah says:
🔹 ❛Had the people of those societies have faith (imaan) and fear ˹of Allah˺ (taqwa), We would open for them barakah from heaven and earth. But they disbelieved, so We seized them for what they used to commit.❜ 【Surah al-A’raf 7:96】
From this, we derive the main key to gain barakah:
🔸 (1) imaan, which also includes doing good deeds according to the shari’ah, and
🔸 (2) taqwa of Allah (i.e. fearing Allah's punishments).
Allah says that when we have these 2 things, not only will He overwhelm us with blessings from the sky, but also blessings from the earth.
The stronger our imaan and taqwa of Allah, the more the doors of barakah will be opened for us, in shaa Allah!
May Allah open the doors of His barakah to all of us.

How do we remain steadfast after Ramadan? Here are two important points:
🔹 1. Always make the following Prophetic du’a. It was one of the most frequent supplications by Prophet Muhammad ﷺ himself!
❛Yaa Muqallibal-quloob, thabbit qalbi ‘alaa deenika (O Changer of the Hearts, strengthen my heart upon Your Religion.❜ 【At-Tirmidhi 2140】
🔸 2. Check who your friends are. The Prophet ﷺ said: ❛A person is upon the religion of his best friend, so let one of you look at whom he befriends.❜ 【Sunan Abi Dawud 4833】
This cannot be emphasized enough. Our friends’ behaviour can influence our own, and can affect our imaan. Who we befriend with says a lot about our own character. So pay close attention with whom we hang out with.
May Allah grant us righteous friendship, and keep us all steadfast upon His Deen.

Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
🔹 ❛In it (i.e. Ramadan), Allah has a night which is better than a thousand months; whoever is deprived of its goodness is indeed deprived.❜ 【Sunan an-Nasa'i 2106】
He ﷺ dispraised those who don’t take Laylatul-Qadr seriously, who don’t put the effort towards it. We can’t make up for Laylatul-Qadr — imagine losing a night, where doing one single khayr is worth better than 83 years! And remember, too, that Laylatul-Qadr is a night that can change our entire past and future.
🔸 Regarding one’s past, the Prophet ﷺ said: ❛Whoever spends the night of Laylatul-Qadr in prayer out of faith and in the hope of reward, his previous sins will be forgiven.❜ 【Sunan an-Nasa'i 5027 | Graded Sahih】
All of one’s previous sins and dark past are forgiven forever. But if he oppresses someone without attempting to return the rights he took, then this is a very serious matter that needs fixing first before one can benefit from Laylatul-Qadr. Always make sure we cover our obligations, before focusing on the voluntary deeds.
🔸Regarding one’s future, Allah says: ❛On that night (i.e. Laylatul-Qadr) every matter of wisdom is ordained.❜ 【Surah ad-Dukhan 44:44】
Imam Ibn Kathir (may Allah have mercy on him) said that the decrees of the coming year are ordained on Laylatul-Qadr. Meaning, whatever happens to us next year, e.g. whoever is going for Hajj / getting married / cured of his illness next year / etc, is written on that night. So make du’a to Allah to decree only what is good for us, because Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said:
🔸 ❛Nothing repels the divine decree but supplication.❜ 【Sunan at-Tirmidhi 2139 | Graded Fair by Sh. al-Albani rahimahullah】
May Allah allow us to witness Laylatul-Qadr and accept from all of us.

Do you know what is one of the biggest reasons why people miss out of Laylatul-Qadr?
In a sahih hadith, it was narrated that Prophet Muhammad ﷺ came out to tell when exactly Laylatul-Qadr occurs — the precise night of Laylatul-Qadr. But as he was about to tell the Ummah, he saw two men quarrelling. The Prophet ﷺ said:
🔹 ❛I came out to inform you about Laylatul-Qadr, but such-and-such persons were quarrelling, so the news about it had been taken away.❜
The piece of information Allah gave him about Laylatul-Qadr was taken away, so he no longer remembered it. Then the Prophet ﷺ said:
🔸 ❛Perhaps that (i.e. not knowing the date of Laylatul-Qadr) is for your own good, so search for it [especially] on the 29th, 27th and 25th [of Ramadan].❜ 【Sahih al-Bukhari 2023】
The loss of the barakah of Laylatul-Qadr’s date is gone because of unnecessary fighting, and argumentation. This hadith indicates how bad it is if we were to argue and fight, especially in these last 10 nights of Ramadan, for it is a cause of goodness being taken away or concealed.
May Allah grant us all beautiful patience and wisdom, so that we may witness Laylatul-Qadr with the most excellent acts of worship that are accepted by Allah.
