In this aayah, Allah addresses the believersâ pain and suffering after so much bloodshed took place in the Battle of Uhud. He says donât give up! The believers are suffering, but Allah says so too are the enemies. Behind their curated speeches and closed doors, know that they are in distress as well.
But the difference between our pain and their pain â between the loss of lives, the shedding of tears by our oppressed brothers and sisters and the oppressors â is that the fallen believers are going to Jannah, where there is peace and happiness for all eternity, in shaa Allah.
As for those who passed away among the opponents of Allah, they have no hope in His rahmah, and they will suffer a far greater pain than what theyâve experienced in this dunya.
Then Allah ends the aayah by reminding us that He is All-Knowing, All-Wise. To us, it may seem like victory is taking too long to reach us, it may seem that the oppressorsâ punishment is being delayed. But Allah tells us that He is Wise, so we must trust His Knowledge and His Wisdom, and to remain optimistic for His sake.
Do not lose hope, do not give up. Continue pushing forward. May Allah grant us all success.
