🔹 ❛Those who disbelieve should not think that living longer is good for them. They are only given more time to increase in sin, and they will suffer a humiliating punishment.❜ 【Surah Ali Imran 3:178】
Allah says that the disbelievers who fight Allah’s Deen, His Messenger ﷺ and the believers, the oppressors who abuse others and take the rights of the weak — they’d better not think that the long lives, wealth and power they’re enjoying right now are all good for them. Rather, they are given these “ease” so that they will accumulate more sins and thus will face a more severe punishment in the akhirah.
This aayah gives the believers hope. Because now, when we see these oppressors who seem to be so powerful and unstoppable, we know that they are all under Allah’s control, and that they are all digging a bigger hole for themselves.
Indeed, if Allah gives us a worldly matter, it does not necessarily mean Allah is pleased with us. And if Allah takes a worldly matter away from us, it does not necessarily mean Allah is displeased with us. What matters is how strong our imaan is and how much we obey Him subhanahu wa ta'ala.
May Allah help our oppressed brothers and sisters, and grant us all unwavering imaan and unshakeable tawakkul upon Him.
