NeuroChatter WON the prestigious Offie Award for the “Offest category” last night, at Westminster Central Hall, London
To say I’m still processing this award win & that I’m in shock still, is a complete understatement - what a night!!!

I’ll never forget this experience @offwestendcom & will take this motivation forward into NeuroChatter’s development process

I’m deeply honoured that after less than 12 months of debuting my full length playwright performance, @neurochatter has been recognised and acknowledged at such a level- a level I never thought would ever be accessible to me

An eternal thank you to the three tiers of assessors for allowing NeuroChatter to not only become a finalist (an achievement within itself) but now a WINNER of an Offie award.

My love to my friend turned family member @elisepaigeandre - my Edinburgh fringe stage manager, friend & guide, for being there at the ceremony last night; it wouldn’t have been the same without you there.

A huge thank you to the theatre critiques & reviewers who came to watch and wrote on my show; in particular, my utter most thanks to David Cunningham from @britishtheatreguide & Amelia Phillpotts from @northwestenduk for writing such constructive and receptive pieces

To my sister Olivia @olivialouiseuk , for being my tech op & stage manager those 3 days in Manchester - we worked as a little family unit and look at what we achieved 🥲

And to Lisa from Greater Manchester Fringe @gmfringe & the venue at The Fitzgerald @thefitznq , for hosting Neurochatter before I went into Edinburgh Fringe - we won a bloody OFFIE award!!!

It is with shock & deep gratitude to announce that NEUROCHATTER has been selected as an Offies Finalist in this year’s “Offest Category” for short runs.

I wholeheartedly believed the OFFIE Awards were out of my reach & out of my league considering I’m a Debut playwright who hasn’t performed in over 20 years. My show is still in its infancy with much work still to be done to do the story of ‘NeuroChatter’ justice.

I am so deeply honoured to the theatre reviewers who have enabled me to get to this point and to the Offie panelist’s for even considering NeuroChatter for a nomination, let alone selected my show as a Finalist. To reach this place is a huge achievement for that I don’t take for granted.

From insular secretive therapy, to guarded psych-wards to stages at the Fringe; I thank you for permitting this story to be seen, heard and now (somehow) recognised - instead of hidden behind institutional walls and buried by shame.

Each week I’ll introduce you to an evolving sequence of Somatic movement & mind practice, in the aim of wellbeing and soothing regulation. Through movement & breathwork we work towards relaxation & restoration.

A restorative practice focusing on teaching Somatic techniques such as Natural Vagus Nerve Stimulation, Tapping, Breathwork, Body Mapping, Mindfulness, Micromovements and much more

This practice can be participated sitting down or standing up.

Every Sunday at 7pm-8:15pm

“Set on a tiny stage split between an artist’s studio and an academic’s study, the design mirrors the divided mind of the protagonist. Within this divided world Harvey’s navigates the intricate dynamics between the divided personalities within as they squabble and jostle for dominance within the mind of Host, the central figure struggling to cope with past trauma.“

“Throughout the performance, interludes of music and dance serve as powerful metaphors for the protagonist’s attempts to pull her fractured self together. The soundtrack, ranging from Frank Sinatra to Frankie Valli, adds emotional depth, while Harvey’s dance movements convey the struggle for unity in a body and mind divided by trauma”
