So many men have excuses about why they can’t commit.

They’re too busy with work, family, or other obligations.

They say they’ll start when things “slow down” or when life gets less hectic. But the truth is
life never really slows down. There will always be something competing for your time.

And for most men, fitness is just a "nice to have," not a real priority.

The problem with this mindset is that it only leads in one direction—downhill. If you don’t make your health a priority now, it’s only going to get harder.

Muscle loss, weight gain, lower energy, joint pain—it all creeps up faster than you think.

The men who stay in shape aren’t the ones with the most free time; they’re the ones who refuse to let excuses dictate their future.

At some point, you have to decide if you want to take control or keep telling yourself the same story. The longer you wait, the worse it gets. But if you shift your mindset and commit, even in the middle of a busy life, the results will compound in your favor. It’s not about having time—it’s about making time.

đŸ„‹ 5 BJJ Lessons That Are the Same in Fitness đŸ’Ș

Whether you’re trying to get better on the mats or in the gym, the lessons are the same.

1. Technique over strength

In BJJ, the strongest guy doesn’t always win. The one with better technique does. Same in fitness: if your form sucks, you’re just lifting your ego. Master the movement, then add weight.

2. It’s a marathon, not a sprint

You don’t earn your blue belt in a month. It takes reps, time, and patience. Your fitness journey is no different. Crash diets and all-or-nothing plans burn out fast. Play the long game.

3. Get 1% better each day

A new submission. A cleaner deadlift. A slightly better food choice. It’s about showing up, learning, and making small improvements. Stack those wins.

4. Don’t compare your journey

Someone else’s belt, body, or bench press doesn’t define yours. Everyone’s starting from a different place. Focus on your progress, not someone else’s highlight reel.

5. Consistency is the secret

The guy who trains twice a week for 5 years beats the guy who goes all in for 2 months and quits. Same in fitness. Show up. Stay in the game. Results come to those who don’t stop.

Slow down. Master the basics. Keep showing up. 👊

You’re not trying to look like your 20-year-old self.

You’ve lived too much, learned too much, and earned more than just abs and a bench press PR.

This chapter is different.

Now you train to have energy for your kids at the end of a long workday.

To feel strong, capable, and confident when you walk into a room — not for attention, but because you’re grounded in who you are.

To sleep better. Move better. Hurt less.

You’re not chasing the past.

You’re building a future.

One where you’re still active at 60.

Where your doctor isn’t giving you a new prescription every year.

Where your knees don’t hurt every time you stand up, and your back doesn’t flare up from something as simple as tying your shoes.

Fitness in your 40s isn’t just about getting shredded.

Sure — the attention you get when you take your shirt off will feel pretty damn good.

But the real reward? It’s knowing you’re showing up as your best self — for your family, your career, and your future.
It’s walking past a mirror and seeing someone who took back control.

Someone who stopped settling.

Because this version of you doesn’t just survive the day. He owns it.

And no — your body isn’t broken. You’ve just outgrown the old approach.

What you need now is a program built for your stage of life.

One that works with your schedule, respects your joints, and helps you get strong, lean, and confident — without burning out or giving up everything you enjoy.

If you’re ready to feel like yourself again — but better...

Too many men wait for the "perfect time" to start taking care of themselves. They talk about getting in shape, getting stronger, setting an example—but they never take the first step.

If you're a father, your kids aren’t just listening to what you say.

They’re watching what you do. Do they see a man who makes excuses, or a man who leads by example?

A man who stays strong, disciplined, and capable—not just for himself, but for his family?

Being 40 doesn’t mean it’s all downhill. That’s a lie weak men tell themselves.

The truth?

You can build muscle just as fast as you did in your 20s.

You can torch body fat, get in the best shape of your life, and prove to your kids—and yourself—that age is just a number.

But it starts with action. No more waiting. No more talking. Be the man who steps up.

Most training programs won’t get you the results you want

Why?

Because they don’t use time tested, proven “basic” principles of strength and muscle growth.

Why not?

Because the “basics” aren’t sexy.

People like new and exciting
which is why most people can’t stick to a program anyway.

But the “basics” are the basics for a reason. Because they work.

If you simply focus on the time tested, proven, basic principles of strength and muscle growth, and you pair that with progressive overload

Your gains will shoot through the roof this year, I promise you that.

Now, most guys think a “basic” training plan is something like a 6x per week bro-split.

Doesn’t have to be.

If you’re strategic, you can build strength and muscle just hitting the gym 4x per week using “the basics”...

I put all of it together in a free workout program you can download right here:

Just focusing on “weight loss” (instead of muscle building) will come back to bite you. Here’s why:

1. When people lose weight, they don’t just lose fat. They lose muscle too (a lot of it).

2. Muscle is your body’s “metabolic engine”. As you lose muscle, your metabolism slows down.

3. That’s why many people who lose weight hit a plateau, then experience rebound weight gain (because their metabolic engine isn’t running as hot, so they burn fewer and fewer calories)...

or they get discouraged that the weight loss has “stopped” and return to old habits.

So save yourself the heartache of losing weight then gaining it back
and prioritize building muscle this year.

As long as you’re not going off the rails with your diet, you WILL burn fat as you put on muscle

Because as you’re putting on muscle, you’re basically adding “metabolic engines” to burn more calories for fuel

Heck you’ll probably be able to loosen the reins on your diet a bit and still see some fat loss.

With that said, building muscle while trying to burn fat can be tough if you go at it alone

And that’s because there’s so much conflicting information about how to do it.

I’ve helped thousands of guys learn how to build muscle while getting ripped - and I’d be happy to help you do the same

I’ll write up a step-by-step plan for you
and I’ll teach you the principles behind the plan so you know exactly how to put on muscle and manage your weight from now on.

I’ve only got a few spots available to join my coaching program, so if you’re interested, fill out an application now to ensure you don’t miss your chance.

Your body is a direct reflection of what you put into it.

If you don’t like how you look or feel

Stop blaming circumstances or believing other guys have some superpower that you don’t.

Sure, some guys may have an easier time building muscle, but this isn’t about them.

It’s about YOU. And what YOU can do.

And the only way you’ll build a great physique is by taking full responsibility.

For example, instead of saying, “I couldn’t workout today because x or y got in the way
”

Start saying, “x or y got in the way, but I found a way to workout regardless.”

There’s always a way.

And if you’re serious about getting in better shape, you’ll find that way, no matter what obstacles pop up.

I promise, you’ll be amazed by how much more progress you make this year compared to others if you take full ownership and have a no excuses attitude.

If you need a workout plan that’ll help you make the most of the time you spend in the gym

Your most valuable asset is muscle.

Tons of new research is coming out to prove it.

Men with more muscle live longer and healthier lives, keep their independence, feel more confident

And no man has to.

I’m passionate about helping guys build muscle fast.

Why?

Because there was a time when I couldn’t put on muscle for the life of me.

But after looking into real research about how to build muscle, I found a way to almost “hack” the system

And I put all of that information down in my book BULK UP FAST, which you can grab for FREE below.
