Sometimes the frustration is not that your body is moving too slowly.

It is that you are comparing a long-term physiological process to a short-term expectation.

Building muscle, getting stronger, changing your shape, and creating more definition all require time. Not because your body is broken or resistant, but because adaptation is gradual.

I get it though, we are constantly shown what looks fast.

So when our own progress feels slower, we assume we are doing something wrong.

What if…

we stopped asking: “Why is this taking so long?”

and started asking: “Does my strategy actually match what I want my body to become?”

If you want help figuring out what this should look like, register for the ‘Design Your Next 60 Days’ workshop. I’ll see you there!

A lot of women say they want to look more defined (I totally get it!)

Stronger, leaner, more athletic… Like they actually train.

But if most of the last several years have been spent trying to lose weight, there has not been much time spent actually building much…

📽️ This comes from a coaching call inside @milesmusclesmagic where we talked about how frustrating it is when it feels like everything feels so slowwww

Building muscle can feel slow while you are in it (and that’s assuming you’re following a plan that’s long enough and built for that purpose). But here’s the thing,

the time passes anyway.

so what are we doing with it? With the precious time we do have to set ourselves up for now, tomorrow and our future-future selves?

The answer is not to panic because maybe you didn’t start sooner.

💝 The answer is to get much clearer about what you are building now.

If that is the season you are in, my workshop: ‘Design Your Next 60 Days’ will help you figure out what your next phase should actually be. Send me a message or click the link in my bio to grab your spot!

These are the kinds of reminders that come up inside coaching calls inside @milesmusclesmagic

It’s not that we need more motivation, it’s simply because sometimes the real shift is getting clear, staying with the work (especially the crappy, boring parts), and building enough evidence to trust yourself.

This is what I want my clients to be able to say to themselves.

I’m on my own path.
I’m in my own lane.
I know what I’m working toward.
And I’m not apologizing for it.

Not because they suddenly stop caring what anyone thinks, but because they’ve built enough trust in themselves to stop needing constant permission.

I love these kind of conversations I get to have inside of Miles.Muscles.Magic HQ✨

If you’re ready to get clear on your own next step, save your spot for my upcoming workshop! We’re mapping out your next 60 days so you know what to focus on with your nutrition, your workouts, and your main goal right now!

💪🏼 Building muscle changed more than how my body looks.

It changed how much I can eat.
How I perform.
How I recover.
How much flexibility I have with food, training, and whatever goal I want to work toward next!

That’s the part of body recomposition that doesn’t get talked about enough!

The goal isn’t to spend the rest of your life trying to lose the same weight over and over again. It’s to build enough muscle and create enough of a foundation that your options start to expand.

That flexibility on the other side of recomp is a big part of why I believe so strongly in doing the work all the way through. No more ‘stop-start-stop-start…’ cycles.

If you’re ready for that kind of approach and transformation, explore how we can work together: milesmusclesmagic.com/8-week-1on1-coaching-waitlis…

💌 thoughts pulled from a coaching call inside @milesmusclesmagic

A lot of people stay in situations that are technically “fine”…

But “fine” is not the same as aligned, powerful, effective or even good enough.

There will always be parts of the process that require effort. That does not mean every part of it needs to feel unnecessarily hard.

You are allowed to stop accepting friction that can actually be changed. No more settling! No more settling for “fine.”

Let’s be honest about what is no longer working (with our habits, routines, environment and who we surround ourselves by) and let’s DO something about it.

Sometimes the next level is not more effort. It is better strategy and the right support.🫶🏼

⚖️ The scale is easy to measure, which is why so many women make it the main event.

But it cannot tell you how much muscle you have💪🏼 It cannot tell you whether your body composition is changing. And it cannot explain why two women at the same weight can look, feel, and perform completely differently.

The goal is not only to weigh less… The goal is to change what your weight is made of.

🎥 This came from a coaching call inside @milesmusclesmagic. Save this for the next time the scale makes you question work that is still adding up….

and most importantly, stop trying to do the hard things alone!

🪧 Discomfort isn't a sign that something is wrong, it's a sign that something is happening!
Most of us were never taught how to sit in it… we were taught to avoid it, distract from it, or wait until we "feel ready." But ready doesn't come before the discomfort, it only comes after you've learned to stay in it.

💖 This was from a recent group coaching call inside @milesmusclesmagic where we chatted about how to build the skill of being able to handle more discomfort. Save this one for the next time it gets hard!

It is totally worth looking at the parts of your routine—and your life—that you have stopped questioning…

🤔 What are you settling for because it is familiar?
🤨 What are you accepting because changing it might inconvenience someone else?
🧐 Where are you showing up in a way that no longer matches what you actually want?

If this is bringing things up for you… good!

But please know, you don’t need to blow everything up.

🚢 You might just have to rock the boat a little bit… but that’s a good thing!

Make the adjustment. Have the conversation. Raise your standard.

💕 Wanting the goal weight, the smaller size, the body that feels more like yours again… I’m not here to talk you OUT of wanting that.

At one point, I wanted that too. So I get it.

🎯 But the goal isn’t to spend the next decade chasing smaller.

The goal is to 👏🏼get there👏🏼 with a plan, and build the foundation that helps you keep moving forward!

Fat loss matters AND Muscle matters too.

The strategy is knowing how to move through both without constantly starting over.😫
