I train Bajiquan & Baguazhang Kungfu & my own style Kangaroo ๐ฆ Kungfu / Roo Quan / Roo Fist ๐ค
A hybrid style of my own name of which is now the art form of this style known as Dai Shu Quan Kangaroo ๐ฆ Kungfu. The Chinese meaning of Kangaroo ๐ฆ๐ค
Based on the physicality of the Iconic Australian animal ๐ฆ๐ค๐ & My own person interpretation of how a Kangaroo moves & fights.
This style includes principles of movements from styles such as Bajiquan, Piquazhang, Baguazhang both Cheng & Yin Style, Hsing I, Zui Quan aka Drunken Fist, American Kenpo, Traditional Karate, Wing Chun so it is a true Hybrid includes also focus heavily on Body Conditioning via striking trees and my own Body like in ancient times.
I also utilise weight training and other methods.
Iโm wanting to share this with other stylists of like mind. I also am developing my own Kangaroo ๐ฆ
movement drills, Isometric drills & breathing / Chi Kung, Iโm also working on forms,
jumping, swimming & art specific weight bearing exercises

Hey guys Iโm just having a small break, Iโll be posting again soon in the meantime please check this old Australian clip out. Itโs not only hilarious Rags the Kangaroo proves exactly what Iโm trying to show in this style ! How we can use the body like a Kangaroo, we can grab onto the the opponent with the Roo Fists / cocked down wrists & grab in to them or grapple them in for a take down. While weโre in close using human ingenuity and martial / fighting principles we can also employ a variety of elbows, clawing strikes, palms or headbutts even. Strike the body with shoulders or ramming attacks every technique designed to incapacitate the opponent quickly.
please enjoy ๐ฆ๐ค

Hi guys my last two video clips I put up Iโm quite happy with. They cover some basic fundamentals & principles I use in striking & defence. The first clip is more about principles it runs for 17min.
The second clip focuses more on The Kangaroo mimicry & explanation of mimicry arts in general.
I even go into possible 2 Man & Kangaroo sparring drills the entire second clip runs for 14 mins in total.
Iโm not sure who realises this, but this is the only Kangaroo Martial Art in the World !
Let that sink in for a moment ๐
Itโs a true hybrid to of it has what is known as the most physical style of Kungfu in its DNA Bajiquan , itโs has basic principle of movement from Baguazhang both Cheng style & Yin style. It is has Hsing I stepping & power development both linked to Bajiquan & Hsing I
It has inspiration from Zui Quan in the way I incorporate & have created my Roo backfists.
American Kenpo concepts of forward & reverse motion anything that goes out from the body can come back in as an attack or defense this principle is also linked to Bajiquan in some ways.
Traditional Karate influence & Wing Chun influence.
Boxing & Kick Boxing too.
Iโve trained in all styles except Zui Quan, however I find it very interesting. So in doing this creating this style not to forget my interpretation of Kangaroo mimicry martialised into a combat style.
That is ever evolving and growning.
Also the weight lifting techniques, body striking, tree striking, Isometric exercises, breathing ๐ฎโ๐จ exercises Chi Kung, Forms & more. If you read this thank you
Thanks for reading ๐ฅ๐ฅ๐ช๐ฆ๐ค

Hi everyone moving forward Iโm trying to embody the Kangaroo in all of my training. In the weight lifting yes specific Roo movements for weights & body weight exercises such as Roo swimming yes Iโve got that too, leaping, striding, skipping, sprinting animal crawls & runs yes running along the ground on all fours ! Roo style Baguazhang Circle Walking & Bajiquan. Exercises as well as pure Bajiquan.
Lots more leg work yes Kicks with the extra power & strength from the leg work exercises above, Iโll also focus on flexibility & leg power.
Roo Fist & Dai Shu Quan the Martial movements are going to even more martial yet Kangaroo focused. The Roo Fist is more condensed less of an Art Form No Forms just raw street fighting ๐ฆ๐ค
When I eventually do a Form / Kata or Sequence for Dai Shu Quan I want the movements to look martial yet so Kangaroo like that people, are going to do a double take & wonder, what they are seeing. Iโm going to move like a Roo & have the physicality of one, itโs endurance & strength so that if I do get into an altercation or even in sparring I want that person to question what it is that they are fighting. This is the Mountain Warrior Spirit this is my legacy to Martial Arts ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ค

Hi everyone so a quick update ๐
Please remember that Roo Fist ๐ฆ๐ค is my streetwise fighting style. Dai Shu Quan ๐ฅ๐ฆ๐ค
is my classical version or martial art style Iโm developing both go hand in hand but one is ugly or more barbaric the other is more elegant deadly & beautiful.
Moving forward Iโm hitting the weights again, proper weight training. Iโve included for body weight training frog leaps Kangaroo ๐ฆ leaps jumping squats, skipping the locomotion type, sprints
Kettlebell training also.
Iโm also Creating Classical movements for Dai Shu Quan the art form etc. Iโm developing more Isometrics exercises & breathing Chi Kung. Also Iโll work on a beginner level form that shows basics & I will be covering the basics in general so that I can come up with a basic curriculum sometime hopefully early 2026 but Iโll see. If anyone wants to contact me via email

Hi everyone I put up 5 different shorts all of me doing free flow unrehearsed movements, Iโm in a white Karate Uniform, You would say all of this movements are Dai Shu Quan ๐ฆ๐ค
Iโd really like to know what you think of these movements thanks,
So yes Iโm after feedback.
I believe that all of the clips could be forms in themselves, some are really fast others have more power & some are a blend of both speed & power ๐จ ๐ฅ๐ช Anyway thanks ๐ฆ๐ค
