As you may have seen, RecD recently hit 1 MILLION subscribers. To celebrate, we're doing something VERY special that people have been asking me for longer than anything else...a FULL-LENGTH version of the RecD Outro Song ("Why Not Subscribe") that serves as a comedic, inspirational retelling of the channel's journey to 1 million over the past 18 years, complete with a fully-illustrated MEGA CROSSOVER Music Video packed with special guest appearances from every big character in the channel's history I could fit in! We've been working on this for awhile now for the occasion. It'll take a few more weeks to finish, but please look forward to it when it's ready. RecD's "Where is Fake Depressed" May Update!

Let's cut to the chase, you probably wanna know why the Nightmare Critters song, Fake Depressed, isn't out yet. While it's been fully arranged & written for months & art/animation is progressing nicely, multiple voice actors on the number have had major sickness slowing them down (Sinus Infections, Pneumonia, all kinds of things that REALLY mess with the ability to do character voices) - hoping it's ready in May, and I will do everything in my power to get it over the finish line. I've been running myself ragged juggling FIVE different numbers for the channel at once while those VAs recover (Some of which I can't even discuss yet) so even though FD got slowed there's still lots of music coming!

You may have heard already, but I am also working again with INUbis on a NIGHTMARE CRITTERS cartoon, "SMILING IN THE RAIN"! Like Take A Rest/Take The Test and Catnap's Day Off/Hide & Sleep, I lent my writing to the script and will be performing the cast of characters with the same crew I cast for my songs. The official, direct PREQUEL to "TAKE A REST" has also been put into production and should release sometime this year.

In terms of other numbers, "MAKE A MITA" has suddenly made a HUGE leap in progress and looks like it should be coming out this month for sure, and we're putting an ENA: Dream BBQ song into production called "WISDOM FEE"- look forward to that one in the next month or so, assuming no more sudden team sickness.

Finally, I'm happy to announce that I'll be going to MOMOCON this year with the Indigo Park crew! There won't be any streams or uploads on that weekend, but I'm looking forward to seeing fans of the channel & IP alike.

As for other long-running series (FNF, Dedede, Furret, etc) - I certainly have interest in continuing them, I merely cannot put anything more on my plate right now when I'm already juggling so much. Some videos based on these may come later in the year, I'm just way too swamped to start announcing any right now.

To help make it a little easier to know what's being made, from here on, I will be making standalone community posts with more information about individual songs when they have a release date set in stone, since I know they can be kind of hard to keep up with via these megaupdates alone.

Bit of a shorter update this time, but I wanted to answer the questions I know you all have had. Even when life plays dirty and hurts the team, I assure you we're always doing our best to pull through & put out the most meaningful & impactful numbers we possibly can...or at least numbers about Springtrap being your dad.

Thank you for continuing to watch & support our videos despite all the slowdowns from bad luck repeatedly dunking on the team. There's some great stuff on the way that'll be well worth the wait.

RECD GIGA UPDATE! Been awhile, huh? Let's start with the music! There are THREE songs already fully arranged and in production now: "LET'S MAKE A DEAL" (BILL CIPHER), "FAKE DEPRESSED" (NIGHTMARE CRITTERS) & "MAKE A MITA" (MISIDE). Here's a bit more about each!

First things first, LET'S MAKE A DEAL, our Bill Cipher original song, is growing closer to release! We had some delays due to recording issues, but it SHOULD be out some time in the next few weeks. In this number, Bill Cipher spawns in YOUR phone and tries to make a deal with you! But, wait...is that...FORD?! How'd he get in there? He doesn't want you to make a deal with Bill, that's for sure! Yes, BILL CIPHER isn't the only character in the number - it's actually a DUET with FORD PINES! Assuming no further issues arise, our very own stream regular BOBCATXTREME will be playing Ford for this number! Look forward to a release in late February/early March.

Next up, yes, we are doing a NIGHTMARE CRITTERS song! "FAKE DEPRESSED" is a 7-minute long number with a deep story starring Baba Chops, who wants to stay holed up in her room pretending her life is terrible & depressing (It's not). The other Nightmare Critters want to go out and play, and try their hardest to coax Baba out of her room. Will they succeed? You'll have to watch the music video to find out! Art is currently being assigned as we run auditions to fill our Nightmare Critter cast, but expect this one to release sometime between March and April! INUbis is planned to return too, and we plan to work together on Nightmare Critter videos this year, so watch out for another fully-animated scene when you least expect it!

Finally, "MAKE A MITA" approaches! This number is based on the recently-released "MISIDE" and will take a bit as it's our first experiment with using 3D ANIMATION in a Music Video! A bit of a simpler song here, where Mita the Virtual Girl professes her love to you, and wants to be your girlfriend, no matter what she has to change about herself!

There are a few more surprises in store for this number that'll make it take awhile, so look forward to it sometime in the first half of 2025!

As for future numbers, much has been quietly simmering. I've been doing a TON of really cool music, writing & voice work over on Indigo Park for Chapter 2, all of which I feel is a HUGE jump in quality from Chapter 1, but that's about all I can say right now due to NDA!

FNF Musical is still on the docket, but I need a way to pick up the current plot due to Tabi's rights issue leading to Tabi WLYR not being able to release & taking a huge part of Girlfriend's story arc with it for the time being. Weekend 1 is still in the running as well, but as a side story I kinda want to ensure I actually HAVE a main story to tell before I work more on it.

For the Pizza Tower fans, UNEXPECTED has been a joy to see so much positive response to! Sometime this year, I'd like to compile all the Pizza Tower originals in one big video, along with some tune-ups and new bonus tracks, ala the FNF Musical Season 1 video. Look forward to that!

Finally, for the Poppy Playtime/Smiling Critter fans already getting a new nightmare critters song, yall are lucky I love the care bears so much and thus the critters in relation. Yes, I've been playing with an ADDITIONAL story for a DIRECT PREQUEL TO TAKE A REST explaining how Catnap got the way he is in that number. Not sure exactly when it'll go into development, but I'd like to release it sometime this year.

Now that MY YOUTUBE VIDEOS are covered, let's talk OTHER STUFF! First of all, I've got an exciting announcement for anyone in the general Pennsylvania area...I'M GOING TO BE A CONTENT CREATOR AT ZENKAIKON 2025! If you drop by the convention happening from March 20th-23rd this year, you might bump into me there! I'll post more about this when the con gets closer.

A small project I've been working on over the past few months is getting all of my earlier original numbers up on streaming, and I'm happy to announce that we're looking at dropping all of them as AN ALBUM with some special bonuses included, along with one of my most frequent requests: A FULL LENGTH VERSION OF THE RECD OUTRO THEME! Stay tuned for more details on this too.

Finally, a little explanation as to why I've been so quiet and haven't posted one of these things in 5 months: I recently went through two back-to-back excisional surgeries to remove a huge birthmark that have been pretty painful to recover from. The birthmark I had was the only type with a lifetime chance of turning into aggressive Melanoma (Cancer) and had been growing strangely, so the surgery was a necessary preventative measure. The entire procedure wound up stretching from November to February and is still healing, so apologies if my output has seemed slower recently - that, along with juggling 3 new songs, an album AND Indigo Park Chapter 2 development has been a huge part of it.

This work gives my life meaning & it brings me joy to entertain & inspire deeper thought with the music I make for all of you. 2025 has started off with a bang, and we're already nearing 1 MILLION Subscribers, something I never thought I'd ever be able to say about my silly little videos. Oh boy, it's the Fall 2024 RecD MEGA UPDATE! Before I say anything else, just a reminder that TAKE THE TEST & HIDE & SLEEP, our long-awaited new Smiling Critters song & its' TV-length prequel cartoon, are OUT NOW & can be watched here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw6QJ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_CmL... - I've been working on these with INUbis for MONTHS and it feels good to finally get both out - the huge scope of this project has been eating up all of my time, and now I can really start working on other videos!

Now, let's talk future videos. Unexpected (Pizzahead) is still ABSOLUTELY coming this year, but its 12 MINUTE RUNTIME has been a lot to work on, so it might not be ready for awhile longer. Lucky for you, you won't have to wait months with nothing to watch while we push through it, because we have a couple SMALLER SONGS coming in the meantime!

First, inspired by the recently-released FNAF Into The Pit is "SPRINGTRAP'S MY DAD!", a jammin' Rock Song about Springtrap being your dad. He IS your dad, you know. And if Springtrap wants to be your dad, there's not too much you can do about it. Might as well jam! This is our first FNAF video since FAZBEAR NECESSITIES because it's the first time I had enough fun with a new FNAF game to want to write a song about it, hahah.

Next, inspired by THE BOOK OF BILL, our first Gravity Falls video in awhile comes in "LET'S MAKE A DEAL", a little number where Bill Cipher is IN YOUR PHONE and WANTS OUT. Do him a solid, won't you? Make a deal with him. Huh? Is there someone else in there?

FNF Fans, YES, we are still covering the updates, but bear in mind it is four songs and cutscenes around them, and I can only tackle so many big videos at once. I had to choose whether I wanted this year's last big video to be Weekend 1 or Unexpected, and I went with Unexpected since it'd been promised for longer.

I know my schedule slipped far past where it was supposed to be, but I'm hoping to adapt to a more consistent schedule of a few small videos in-between the big ones in the future so less slips come to pass. Thank you for your patience while I try to get more great songs out to all of you!
