At a recent Salata Institute panel, Harvard faculty, including HBS Professor Peter Tufano, discussed how businesses are responding to shifting U.S. climate policy.
Tufano shared that businesses often delay decisions during periods of uncertainty. However, some industries, such as insurers, are adapting to climate-related disasters, as they cannot afford to wait. He emphasized that resilience and innovation remain essential as businesses navigate these challenges.

In the latest from the Creating Emerging Markets project: Badreddine Ouali is the Founder and Co-CEO of Vermeg Group, a specialized software house providing financial services in banking, capital markets and insurance. Founded in 2002, Vermeg is based in the Netherlands, with a substantial back-office operation in Tunisia. Ouali had previously founded a Tunis-based software company in 1993 named BFI, which he later opted to re-establish as Vermeg in Amsterdam due to mounting political and economic pressures.
In this video, Ouali explains his views on the importance of fostering a work environment in which employees feel they can participate towards enacting a meaningful impact in their communities.
