Hello friends. I'm gonna level with you; I'm trying harder to get my music out to more ears. If you would be so kind as to help me by dropping a like or sharing this new video if you enjoyed it, or any of my original music stuff for that matter, I would be very very grateful.

This is the '2P Mode' version of 'Just Feels Right', from one of my upcoming albums 'NICKO_2'. The song got its name because when I was originally working on the idea I wasn't really sure what time signature I was playing in. The thing I was sure of, however, was - you guessed it - that it just felt "right", whatever that means. Only when I recorded it properly did I realise that the verse part was in 9/8 time! What a world. I don't count it at all when I'm playing it of course, because, well, you know why. The ending is also kind of strange, and I have never counted what that even is at the time of writing this... I'm gonna work it out once I press "Post".

Furthermore, the '2P Mode' thing is a nod to my love of classic video games; the music from which is a permanent and unavoidable inspiration to my music making. Back when I were a lad, our games had simply "1-Player" or "2-Player" modes (often written as 1P or 2P). So to me '2P Mode' feels a very appropriate thing to name a bass duet. Hello bass fans!

It's an eclectic yet cohesive mixture of short "bits" and longer "pieces". Some are purely solo bass arrangements, some multi-tracked compositions. I think you're gonna love it.

Hey friends, just a heads up - I'm taking October off of making videos to focus on finishing my album. A lot has changed since I first announced (ages ago, yikes) that it was "coming soon", the most significant change being that I am now mixing it myself (also yikes)! One of my best friends was originally down to do it but he's unfortunately simply too busy now, but it's because of the exciting reason that his project LOWES is super on-the-rise. So of course, whilst I am extremely happy for him and my other good friends in the band, his workload has changed an awful lot as a result. So yes, I am now mixing my album myself. I'm confident that I can do a decent job of it though, and that it will be something that I'm truly proud of. Feels good to be doing it myself, in all honesty. Jumping in at the deep-end, times a million. Plus... if I do get good at the mixing thing, it won't be ten frickin' years between this one and my next release... 🤣
