This is the '2P Mode' version of 'Just Feels Right', from one of my upcoming albums 'NICKO_2'. The song got its name because when I was originally working on the idea I wasn't really sure what time signature I was playing in. The thing I was sure of, however, was - you guessed it - that it just felt "right", whatever that means. Only when I recorded it properly did I realise that the verse part was in 9/8 time! What a world. I don't count it at all when I'm playing it of course, because, well, you know why. The ending is also kind of strange, and I have never counted what that even is at the time of writing this... I'm gonna work it out once I press "Post".
Furthermore, the '2P Mode' thing is a nod to my love of classic video games; the music from which is a permanent and unavoidable inspiration to my music making. Back when I were a lad, our games had simply "1-Player" or "2-Player" modes (often written as 1P or 2P). So to me '2P Mode' feels a very appropriate thing to name a bass duet.
