Yo! Just wanted to give everyone an update since it's been a minute: I'm currently juggling two major video projects. The one you'll all see first is a 4+ hour behemoth that at this point, I'm just trying my best to have it uploaded by the end of the year, but I'm not making promises. The other won't be so long, but it's still looking at well over an hour (probably ~2ish but idk) and I'm working on it when I'm not working on the other. In any case! Just wanted to let everyone know that I'm not dead, haha, I'm just working on two (very) big videos right now.
As a reminder, I'm gonna be a panelist guest at Anime Boston this weekend! I hope to see as many of y'all there as possible; feel free to say hi! Here's a list of panels that I'm either hosting or co-hosting:
Fact or Fiction: Historical Events as Portrayed by Anime A Guide to Engaging Young Fans & Club Advisor Meetup Sometimes Anime Marketing is Very Funny One Piece Fandom in the 4Kids Era Old Anime Magazines 101 World's Worst Conventions Anime Conventions Then and Now
I'm gonna be a panelist guest at Anime Boston next weekend! I'm gonna be hosting and co-hosting a number of panels, and if you're gonna be at the con, I'd love to see you there! animeboston.com/guest/guest_details/395
NEW VIDEO
I'm not joking when I say "Izumicon 2018 was worse than DashCon." So what happened, and why has virtually nobody heard about this con? For the first time ever, its story is finally being told. imo, this is my most ambitious video yet. I'm not joking when I say I spent literal years working on this, so more than usual, I hope you enjoy this one!
I made a brief segment and have a few voice cameos for a new (and wonderful) video by @PrettyTranslatorSarahMoon about the localization industry and its relationship with (anime) fans. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, but I just think this essay is excellent, and a must-watch for people who frequently consume Japanese content. Can't recommend it highly enough:
NEW VIDEO! Did you know that Anime Boston can trace its origins to an old anime forum? Or that the fire marshal had to show up to the first Anime Boston because there were too many people? Or how about the disastrous 2008 the con had? I interviewed a number of longtime Anime Boston volunteers, congoers, and more to learn more about Anime Boston's fascinating backstory:
Just reminding y'all that I'm gonna be a featured guest at SoonerCon in Norman, OK later this month! We're gonna talk anime, current projects, history, and more! This'll be my first time as a guest at any con, and that it's happening at what is honestly my favorite con in OK (I've been there as an attendee in previous years) just makes me all the happier. I hope to see as many of y'all there as possible! soonercon.com/

Sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who remembers the One Piece card game from the 2000s—so of course, I made a whole video about it
