Todays Morning October movie watch The Fat Albert Halloween Special from 1977. I seen this pop up on YouTube a few days ago and thought Id watch something a little different. IF ive seen this one its been literally 40+ years ago.
PLOT SYNOPSIS: While attempting their Halloween mischief, the kids get the ultimate scare from the lady who lives in the spooky house by the graveyard. When some of the kids do not return from trick-or-treating, which Cosby kid will show the most courage?
I wont give any spoilers here, but I will go into a topic they talk about in this show. They talk about old people and how creepy and weird they are. Its something pretty much all kids feel. I know I have. And at times...Maybe I still do to some degree. I think there is something that just sits uneasy with kids/young people about older people. We can only hope to make to to old age. It happens fast.
I like how in this show Fat Albert is always so concerned,caring,the voice of reason. I like the banter and fun the characters have with one another. I like the message. I like how in the end, they see things a bit different. If you feel like something a bit different. A little oldschool animated fun..Give this one a try..ENJOY!

So far today ive kind of mixed up my food im eating. This morning I had 2 mandarins and some yogurt "mixed in a banana"...THEN for lunch I had some strawberry flavored oats and mixed in some natural peanut butter..I had so much junk yesterday I feel I need to change it up a bit today..What will supper be? Not sure. Probably air..

Last nights October movie was Clown in a Cornfield. I heard about this movie a while back on a youtube channel I follow. Ive been waiting until October to watch it. So lets dig in just a bit.
PLOT SYNOPSIS: Quinn Maybrook and her father have moved to tiny, boring Kettle Springs, to find a fresh start. What they don't know is that ever since the Baypen Corn Syrup Factory shut down, Kettle Springs has cracked in half. On one side are the adults, who are desperate to make Kettle Springs great again, and on the other are the kids. These kids want to have fun, make prank videos, and get out as quick as they can. Kettle Springs is caught in a battle between old and new, tradition and progress. It's a fight that looks like it will destroy the town. Until Frendo, the Baypen mascot, a creepy clown goes homicidal and decides that the only way for Kettle Springs to grow back is to cull the rotten crop of kids who live there now.
I wont go so far as to say this movie was a gem or anything. It wasnt "great" it wasnt "bad". It was decent I guess for todays horror. I mean we get kids running from clowns. So thats fun. There are some good kills to be seen. Some off camera which is ok. Characters of kids are decent enough. Nobody totally stands out. BUT all do ok with their jobs. Acting was ok. I can also say there is a big twist that reveals itself eventually. You dont get that often in any movie much less horror.
Overall if you like some decent fun and clowns...Give it a watch. ENJOY!!!
