I didn't grow up in these mountains. Heck, I wasn't even born in the US. I'm a European immigrant who, in my 20's, discovered public land and the wild opportunities it offers. There's nothing quite like the freedom of the United States, and even more so the freedom of running around the mountains, grabbing every slice of adventure I can. This channel is me learning outdoor skills, hunting, fishing, horse wrangling, backpacking, shooting, off-roading, hiking: EMBRACING THE WEST.

Anyone in Montana seeing spring bear tooth age results posted in MyFWP yet? My 2025 bear's results still haven't posted and I'm dying to know! What's y'alls best guess on how old this bear was? The examining biologist gave me his best guess.

I got pretty bundled up last weekend before an all day hunt in single-digit winter weather! It took roughly 6 minutes of trekking up a hill to strip down to just a hoodie and blaze orange. It was too cold to be building stuff outside, so I went hunting instead 😁 Got to test some new gear, see some of God's country, and relearn how to hunt big muley bucks lol

After only putting in two full days of hunting this season, I had a last day / last minute situation at home on the ranch, and this buck got the smoke! No, he's not a monster, and I don't have a badass mountain film with this one, but I felt a duty to put some meat in the freezer and use the tag I paid for. This buck crossed my path, and I'm grateful.
Thank you all for sticking with me, I can't wait to be running around back up in the mountains. ⛰️

Wild friends, I have cool news!
I haven't shared about this yet, but my wife and I are very excited because we're currently in the process of building a "barndominium" shop/home on our property in Montana. My long-awaited dream of having a big heated workshop is finally coming to fruition, a dream I can imagine every working man has. We hired out some of the work, mainly the structure itself and getting it fully dried in. However, that leaves alot of digging/backfilling trenches, internal framing, electrical, plumbing, insulating, furnishing, flooring, and finishing up to us to complete. This is an incredibly laborious task, and the bad news about all of this is: it's cutting into my hunting season.
Trying to get moved in as fast as possible, means I simply don't have the time to hunt as much as I want to. I did go out opening day, and passed on a couple muley bucks, but that was the only day I hunted so far and may be the only day I put in this season.
If I'm slow on posts, this is why! Keep us in your prayers and kick ass out there 🙏🦌

Tonight's final 5-shot group @ 200 yards before general rifle season opener! What do y'all think? Just barely over 1-MOA@100-YRDS. I did adjust the reticle to shoot higher and left after this group (I hit the scope HARD on a rock packing my bear out this spring).

Just got sent this photo, I forgot all about it! Too good not to post, especially since my original photos with this buck were really dark and hard to frame since I was hunting alone. One more week until opening day, but it'll be hard to beat this buck! #2024muley

I'm actually really ready to get my truck back from the shop 😅 I've gotten to really appreciate it and all the fancy features I can probably live without lol. Should be ready for pickup soon! #Montana #SuicidalDeer

Today (September 27th) marks a full YEAR of living OFF-GRID!! My wife and I decided to finally get hooked up to the electric power grid after a full year of no grid electricity, city water supply, city sewer hookup, garbage pickup (until only a few weeks ago), or wired internet. It's been fun, but we're ready for the next chapter 🙌
(I highly recommend everyone experience off-grid life for a solid year at some point in their lives, it really toughens up a person...)
If you noticed I haven't been posting videos as often.....between never having a spare hour of time, never having enough electricity to power my computer, and internet being impossibly slow, videos have been a challenge!
