I didn't grow up in these mountains. Heck, I wasn't even born in the US. I'm a European immigrant who, in my 20's, discovered public land and the wild opportunities it offers. There's nothing quite like the freedom of the United States, and even more so the freedom of running around the mountains, grabbing every slice of adventure I can.
