But life had another plan—she found solace in music. She enrolled with a music teacher and learned to play the harmonium, which brought her peace.
When she moved in with her husband after recovery, she told him about her condition and the low chances of becoming a mother. But he stood by her, saying, “I want to be with you no matter what.” His acceptance gave her the strength to look beyond herself.
Sunita chose to devote her life to social work. After duty, she began visiting schools, teaching children about good and bad touch, road safety, and self-protection. Her warmth and dedication earned her the title “Policewali Didi.”
