Mari Arita Talks

I tell stories about coming home — sometimes to places, sometimes to myself.
After eight years in London, an illness, a heartbreak, and a cat, I found myself back in southern Italy, learning to breathe again between church bells and coffee breaks.
My work is about the beauty of ordinary days, the humour hidden in healing, and the quiet rebellion of being honest in a world obsessed with perfection.
I speak softly, think deeply, and film slowly — because life isn’t a highlight reel.
It’s a long conversation with yourself, and I’m just here, still in Italy, figuring it out with you.
