Using weights is an important part of this class so have your selection ready. I use the medium to the very heavy ones the most but you can still participate and not use weights as well.
Almost every exercise will have 8 repetitions and it challenges your balance as you do them on one side and then the other (you may need a chair nearby). I make you use similar muscle groups after each other so you will be increasing the strength in them as you go.
Perform the exercises slowly with very good technique. It is really important that you breathe and do not hold your breath, try not to over-grip the weights and in between the exercises keep your feet moving. You will find your heart rate increases after you have finished the exercise so ensure you do not stand still.
You may want to repeat the class another time if you used too light a weight ... it should be hard to complete all 8 repetitions.
