Master Coach University

Transformation usually starts with someone getting PUSHED.

maybe it’s a duck on a water slide.
maybe it’s a client with a dream and a dozen excuses.

the duck doesn’t want to go.
it stands there, feet gripping cheap plastic, eyes blinking at the unknown.
but the guy behind it gives a little push.
and down it goes—
flapping, squawking, alive—
and when it hits the bottom, it’s fine.
hell, maybe even better than fine.

coaching’s like that.
you’ve got people standing at the top of their lives,
paralyzed by fear,
drowning in self-help books,
afraid to move.

and we push.

we push them past the edge they won’t cross alone.
we push them through the crap they’ve clung to for too long.
they call it pushy.
they call it hard sell.
they say we’re too much.

but we know.
we know that sometimes
the only thing standing between someone and a new life
is a coach who gives a damn enough
to shove them toward it.

embrace the push.
be the bastard with the nerve to care.
and ride the damn slide.

Fear of EMBARRASSMENT…

…that gut-wrenching “Oh no, what will people think?” kind of fear…

…stops most new coaches in their tracks.

Sean Stewart was embarrassed by what he thought was a career-ending PUBLIC FAILURE.

Sean didn’t just fail quietly.

Oh no, his failure was LOUD.

I’m talking about front-page article in the New York Times level of embarrassment.

Imagine that—your worst moment plastered in one of the most-read newspapers in the world.

Most coaches would have crawled into a hole and never come out.

BUT, instead of crawling under a rock (which honestly would have been my first move)...

…Sean turned that nuclear-level embarrassment into a 6-figure coaching business.

Sean had literally THE WORST public embarrassment I've ever seen happen to a coach…

…but he took that humiliation, flipped it on its head, and built a business most coaches only dream of.

Imagine you 'put yourself out there' as a coach...

...and get EMBARRASSED in the process.

Shame, Embarrassment, Humiliation...

These are powerful fears for coaches.

People will judge you.

They’ll talk behind your back.

Sometimes they’ll even laugh in your face.

So most coaches are scared.

They hide in their rooms making vision boards and practicing their "powerful questions" in the mirror…

…too terrified to face the judgment and ridicule of the real world.

And then there’s that little voice in your head telling you to STOP.

To quit.

That you’re not good enough.

So most new coaches hold themselves back from offering their coaching.

But Sean did the OPPOSITE...

...and he PAID THE PRICE for it.

He got the most public embarrassment I've ever seen (at least for a new coach).

The New York Times wrote about his failing coaching business (check out the article linked in the comment below):

But... Sean bounced back with a vengeance.

Here's why this is important for YOU:

If you're letting fear hold you back from building your coaching business…

If you're worried about what people will think...

If you're paralyzed by the thought of failure...

...then you MUST watch Sean's story right now (It’s linked in the comment.)

Jeffrey “Not Embarrassed” Sooey

P.S. Look - I've been in the coaching industry for 25 years (seen pretty much everything).

But Sean’s story? It's different.

If you're sitting there worried about putting yourself out there...

Or thinking you might scrap this whole coaching thing because you're afraid of looking stupid...

...you really need to see this.

I know putting yourself out there as a coach can feel like walking a tightrope over a shark tank.

But Sean’s story is proof that even the most epic embarrassment doesn’t have to be the end.

It can be your beginning.

If you're battling resistance, discouragement, or doubts about making it in coaching…

…then CLICK THE LINK in the comment to watch Sean's story about transforming humiliation into wild success.

Coaching Fee Motivation? (PART 2)

Setting your coaching fees isn’t just about making money—it can impact your motivation to coach your clients.
Here are four fee motivation levels to consider, based on fees you charge (illustrative amounts shown - your fee ranges will vary).
Where do most of your clients fall?

1. NEGATIVE MOTIVATION ($25 AND BELOW)
When fees are too low, resentment can creep in.
You might dread sessions, feel undervalued, or even resent your clients.
Giving away your time for free (or even paying for the opportunity) can make you feel like you’re losing out.
Motivational Impact:
Feeling annoyed and avoid scheduling sessions.
Sense of imbalance—giving more than receiving.
Erodes your enthusiasm and affects your ability to support your client.
Solutions:
Gradually raise your fees.
Communicate your value clearly.
Let go of the coaching relationship if it’s no longer serving either party.

2. NEUTRAL MOTIVATION ($25 - $100)
Fees at this level seem reasonable but may not fully energize you.
You’re likely to show up and do your job without the drive to deliver a transformative experience.
Without more at stake, apathy can set in.
Motivational Impact:
Commitment is “just enough.”
Doing enough to 'get by' but no going 'the extra mile'.
Apathy can arise.
Solutions:
Monitor your commitment level.
If your motivation dips, consider raising your fees to spark renewed investment in your coaching

3. POSITIVE MOTIVATION ($250 - $500)
This is the ideal range: you feel adequately compensated and inspired to give your best.
You're ready to tackle tough conversations and bring about real change because your effort is well-matched with the reward.
Motivational Impact:
Your motivation is high, and you consistently show up at your best.
The desire to create transformative results for your clients is strong.
You’re willing to engage in challenging discussions or take bold actions to facilitate growth.
Solutions:
Stay vigilant to avoid slipping into complacency.
Keep aligned with your value and continue raising your standards.

4. ANXIOUS/ATTACHED MOTIVATION ($1,000+)
At this level, you may feel overpaid or question whether you can deliver value worth the fee.
This can lead to over-coaching, over-attachment to client outcomes, or anxiety about losing the client.
Motivational Impact:
Feelings of guilt, anxiety, or inadequacy may arise.
Overly attached, resorting to manipulative tactics to keep the client.
Push too hard to deliver value or using unhelpful tactics to justify the fee.
Fear of losing the client can overshadow your coaching quality.
Solutions:
Adjust your beliefs about your worth to align with your fees.
Lower the fees to a level where you feel comfortable and confident.
**Where do you set your fees, and how does it impact your coaching?**

I royally SCREWED UP my coaching business...

I used to think the reason I couldn’t get clients was because “people don’t value coaching”.

That’s what I told myself anyway.

What a load of crap. It wasn’t that.

It was me.

The real problem? I didn’t give them a REASON to value coaching.

I was in such a RUSH to enroll clients…

…that I overlooked the missing pieces they were counting on ME to provide:

*They didn’t even UNDERSTAND coaching.
*They didn’t understand their own PROBLEMS.
*They couldn’t connect the dots between coaching and getting what they WANTED.

Talk about putting the cart before the horse! I was:

*Pushing too hard, too fast.
*Selling coaching before they even got it.
*Assuming they magically understood themselves, their challenges, and how coaching fit in…

…and I didn’t even realize it.

I was so eager to get clients that I forgot the most important part:
actually helping them understand why they needed me in the first place.

Imagine trying to sell the solution to a problem your client DOESN’T EVEN KNOW THEY HAVE—like trying to sell a cure for a disease that doesn't exist.

it just doesn’t work.

I was rushing, always rushing.😓

The desperation reeked off me like cheap cologne.

No wonder they ran.

I kept getting the same excuses…

…and kept losing potential clients who were a perfect fit for my coaching.

Where did that leave me?

Frustrated

Chasing leads…

…watching others build successful practices while I struggled to enroll even a few clients.

But here's where it gets good.

I hit rock bottom.😞

I was fried from rejection. Done.

Done trying to push people through some slick, fast funnel.

So I threw it all away.

Every slick trick, every shortcut—straight into the TRASH.

…and I built a NEW enrollment process FROM SCRATCH.

Here’s what that taught me: You’ve gotta be patient with prospects. You’ve gotta take your time.

I had to take the enrollment process SLOW.🐢

I had to show them that coaching is the tool they need to get what they want…

…by starting with something I KNEW the client WANTED…

Their own dreams, goals, and desires.

AND… I couldn’t expect them to believe ‘coaching is the solution’ right away.

So here I was, after burning everything to the ground and starting from SCRATCH.

My new coaching funnel:

*feels easy and natural (no more pushing).
*gives the client real value (whether or not they sign up).
*converts 67% of discovery sessions into paid coaching.💰

It's almost funny now. The less I try, the more they enroll.

NOT giving a damn about enrollments?

Somehow, THAT’S when the enrollments flowed.

Funny how life works out sometimes.

If you're READY to start enrolling clients left and right...

Then Check out my Slow Seduction Coaching Funnel.

It's linked in the comment below.

Your future clients will thank you.🙏

P.S. It starts with something I call the 'Coffee Date' - - a casual, low-key conversation that helps me decipher how to explain coaching to THAT SPECIFIC client...

…so they start to open up to coaching...

…and even WANT coaching.

How Coaching Is The Source Of World Transformation

Master Coach University was never meant to be the global powerhouse it is today
The university was originally meant to be used as training for JTS advisors new coaches but
once coaches outside of JTS wanted to be a part of our specialized and unique training we
knew this was a secret we could no longer keep to ourselves and decided to go public.

But this didn’t happen overnight, countless hours of work and lessons learned along with over a
decade in the field of coaching got us to the point we’re at today with “over 81,746 coaches,
leaders, authors, speakers, trainers, consultants, and change-makers.”

We believe in a “learn by doing” approach that way each student gets transformational results
that they wouldn’t have received just by reading or taking a class. Taking action is the fastest
way to see results and these are words that we live by. There are no shortcuts to success.

“At Master Coach University, we believe that coaching can be a source of world
transformation. This belief drives us in our mission to train the best coaches in the
world.”

So if you’re truly invested in starting your own coaching business then look no further than
Master Coach University where you can rest assured we’ve got your best interest at heart:
