On the theme of speaking up and saying no, do you often struggle to speak your truth and trust your voice?

Throat chakra issues are the #1 issue I see in my yoga teacher training programs. So many of us are blocked in this area (listen to the throat chakra lecture in Uplifted).

I wanted to create a class that approached throat chakra closure somatically! Have fun and be in a place where you can ideally make some noise in the end.

It may sound weird, but those of us who have been through trauma often feel UNSAFE feeling good feelings. Our nervous system is not used to it. When things are good, you might default to worrying the other shoe is going to drop, catastrophizing, or going numb. Feeling GOOD emotions may not be comfortable.

A great example of this is how you receive compliments. When someone compliments you, do you quickly brush it off, avert your gaze, say something nice back? Or do you truly RECEIVE it?

If you want to increase your tolerance for GOOD feelings, this month's meditation is for you. Practice it a few times a week this April – you might be able to fully ABSORB more enjoyment from your life. Let me know how it goes!
