When I finally got sober in January 2015, I was happy to finally be doing it, BUT I felt like the biggest loser of all time. I had gone from being an intelligent kid with a promising future to a homeless heroin addict who was in and out of jail into my 30s. While my friends were buying homes, I had a "favorite" bail bondsman. Many addicts feel this way and frankly, this is a very difficult place from which to rebuild a life! Over the years, I consciously rebuilt my self-eseem and my life and by 4 years sober I was married, finally had a car (legally lol) again and I had purchased the San Diego fitness studio I was teaching and in three years time I flipped that business and sold for double what we purchased - during COVID. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN RECOVERY! We have an advantage as addicts, join me and rise back better!
