I inspire & empower alcoholics and addicts in recovery to create and live the highest visions they have for their lives.I will help YOU build the life of your dreams. When I finally got sober in January 2015, I was happy to finally be doing it, BUT I felt like the biggest loser of all time. I had gone from being an intelligent kid with a promising future to a homeless heroin addict who was in and out of jail into my 30s. While my friends were buying homes, I had a "favorite" bail bondsman. Many addicts feel this way and frankly, this is a very difficult place from which to rebuild a life! Over the years, I consciously rebuilt my self-eseem and my life and by 4 years sober I was married, finally had a car (legally lol) again and I had purchased the San Diego fitness studio I was teaching and in three years time I flipped that business and sold for double what we purchased - during COVID. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE IN RECOVERY! We have an advantage as addicts, join me and rise back better!

November 4, 2008, I was sitting in an AA meeting in West LA, absolutely hating my life. Hoodie up, slumped down in my chair, eating macaroni and cheese from El Pollo Loco, I hated everyone in that room. That was also the night Barack Obama won the presidency. They called the election really early that night, announcing that he had won while I was in the meeting. I drove down Venice Blvd watching people pour out of bars, cheering, celebrating, smoking, talking…and I was alone in my car. I remember thinking so clearly: my life is OVER. There are all the normal people over there having fun…and I am over here, NOT in a bar with friends, but instead in a STUPID FU**ING AA meeting. This is my life. Regular people are having fun, and I am in STUPID FU**ING AA. I hated AA,NA, all of it. (I was also not actually sober, shocker 🤡) I went home feeling absolutely miserable, depressed and full of self pity. Last night, I had the honor of attending a ten year sober birthday celebration for my friend @amandaholla There were like 50 women there, talking, laughing, eating tacos, taking pictures. After we all sang Happy Birthday to Amanda, several women shared some of their favorite things about Amanda. Almost every woman out of habit accidentally said, “hi, I’m so and so, I’m an alcoholic.” Each time, we would all laugh and smile and make little AA jokes and it was great. I would never have believed that I would end up being so happy and grateful to be a part of a sober community. But here I am. Sobriety is the best thing that ever happened to me. If you hate it, I get it, I did too - just look for the sober people that are having fun and do what they’re doing. Give yourself a shot. It gets better. We do recover and happy TEN years, Amanda! 🌸🌺💝
