Hey everyone! Today is October 7th and here's my friend Ahmed from Gaza. He recently shared a vlog showing his and his family's life under genocide. Go give it a watch, and some support! Here's a link to donate to his fundraiser: chuffed.org/project/130545-stand-with-ahmeeds-fami…
Don't forget to keep putting pressure on your government, to keep attending protests, to keep boycotting, to keep sharing, to keep helping Palestinians any way you can!

Bonjouuur! Big news from France today!! A nationwide protest and strike movement is brewing. Some call it Yellow Vest 2.0, but most know it as "Let's Block Everything". It’s a reaction to the deep cuts in welfare and public services announced over the summer.
François Bayrou, Macron’s appointed prime minister, has called a confidence vote in parliament next Monday. Most parties have already said they won’t support him. He’s basically done, but he scheduled the vote two days before "Let's Block Everything" kicks off, hoping to head off a full shutdown of the country.
The movement keeps gaining ground, with more initiatives being planned and trade unions announcing nationwide strikes starting September 18. Calls for Macron to step down are growing louder, especially since the government looks almost certain to lose the confidence vote. I'll update you on this and I'm hoping to cover some of the initiatives on the ground. Salut!

The French streamer Jean Pormanove died on stream a few days ago. He was 46yo and during an endless 12-day stream on Kick, he basically became the main attraction in a kind of human endurance show, and then he died. During the show, he was kept awake, ridiculed, even beaten up, while people kept watching. Kick, of course, had no reason to stop it. The more extreme it got, the more viewers and money rolled in.

The French media Mediapart warned the government months before that these “abuse-as-content” streams were out there. A minister was told, but nothing ever came of it.
Adin Ross and even Drake, who both have ties to Kick promised to cover Jean’s funeral expenses, but it cannot be it.
This story is reminiscent of what happened to some of the people who worked with Mr Beast or David Dobrik.

Hey everyone! I have two fundraising efforts and a message to share with you. The fundraisers are meant to help support two families in Gaza, Ahmed's family and Amjad's family.
Here are the links, please donate to both if you can:
chuffed.org/project/130545-stand-with-ahmeeds-fami…
chuffed.org/project/142254-urgent-appeal-to-save-o…

Here's a message from Ahmed:

‏A Cry from Gaza: Israel Is Using Hunger as a Weapon
‏My name is Ahmed, and I’m from Gaza. I write these words while fighting hunger not to ask for anything for myself, but to let the world hear the cry of a people being slowly exterminated, starved on purpose, and denied even the most basic means of survival.

‏For over four months now, since the brutal assault on Gaza resumed, Israel has escalated a deliberate and systematic policy of starvation against us. Food, medicine, and clean water are blocked. Yet Israel tells the world it is allowing “humanitarian aid” into Gaza.

‏The truth is very different.

‏At best, only 10 trucks enter every two days. Sometimes, none at all. But our real daily need is at least 600 trucks of food and essential supplies. Imagine the difference. And even when aid is allowed in, it is often dumped in dangerous, exposed areas near the border, where desperate people risk their lives to reach it. Almost every time, it ends in a new massacre of the hungry. ‏The goal is clear: to break our will by starving us.

‏We are now living through a nightmare that cannot be imagined:

‏Imagine a family of six needing at least $100 every day just to get enough food to stop the hunger.
‏People eat small amounts of vegetables or beans if they’re lucky, each person gets two pieces of bread a day.
‏Unemployment is over 95%. There are no jobs, no income, no savings. Homes, businesses, and everything people owned are destroyed.
‏And the prices are insane:

‏1 kilogram of tomatoes or cucumbers costs $30.
‏1 kilogram of flour costs $65 enough to make just 12 pieces of bread.
‏On top of that, there are over 40% in extra fees.
‏And yes, we drink more water than our bodies need not out of thirst, but to trick our stomachs into feeling full. We go to bed every night with empty stomachs, with nothing but patience and pain to carry us through.

____________

And here's a bit more on Amjad from people in touch with him:
Amjad has twelve members of his family he supports. So far he and I have raised enough funds that he hasn’t needed to go to the GHF “aid stations” to get indiscriminately murdered by a US mercenary psycho for two weeks now. He has sent me videos of he and others pinned down in an open space, in the bright afternoon, by gunfire.

Please help if you can!!

Bonjour! I saw many comments on my last vid referring to the interview I did with Sarah Stein Lubrano, featured in the video. She's a researcher on the role of emotion in politics. You can find the full interview on Patreon :) Here's the link: www.patreon.com/c/alicecappelle
