Beaux Jardins

The Netherlands based singer/songwriter Bart van Schoonhoven (Schoonhoven = Beautiful Gardens = Beaux Jardins).

I can recall no time when my voice was not clear and high, carrying with it a deep passion for close harmony. Yet, with the passing of years, what once came naturally has become something closer to top-level sport. Since performing live for hours on end is no longer within reach, I found myself compelled to seek a new way of making music.

And so, in my recording studio I began capturing the songs I have sung over the past six decades—preserving them just as I once performed them, both alone and alongside fellow musicians. As a final flourish, when I am fully satisfied with the sound, I bring the music to life through video, creating for myself a new and nice imaginary musical world—one filled with the largest audience I have ever known.
