Beaux Jardins
The Netherlands based singer/songwriter Bart van Schoonhoven (Schoonhoven = Beautiful Gardens = Beaux Jardins).
I can recall no time when my voice was not clear and high, carrying with it a deep passion for close harmony. Yet, with the passing of years, what once came naturally has become something closer to top-level sport. Since performing live for hours on end is no longer within reach, I found myself compelled to seek a new way of making music.
And so, in my recording studio I began capturing the songs I have sung over the past six decades—preserving them just as I once performed them, both alone and alongside fellow musicians. As a final flourish, when I am fully satisfied with the sound, I bring the music to life through video, creating for myself a new and nice imaginary musical world—one filled with the largest audience I have ever known.

My new album “The Dragon You Chase” with 10 original songs will be released on Friday January 6th, 2023. Six new songs, three re-mixes and to celebrate the 50th anniversary of releasing my very first recording ever, I have totally re-written this song with the new title "Nagging". I’ll keep you posted.

Beaux Jardins
I'm so proud and I must admit a bit flabbergasted as well. I realize I never had such a large audience before as I do now. On my 'Beaux Jardins' YouTube channel my video's are being viewed for more than 1000 times a day and the number is increasing everyday.
When all my gigs were cancelled due to covid-19 I decided to stop with my solo performances. At a certain age it was getting too much of top sport to keep the quality of my voice at the level I want for a 2 hours performance that never occurs. But having a setlist of more than 300 songs it feels like such a waste to just leave them as files on my computer and never ever do anything at all with them again.
The initial plan was to make audio recordings of the most favorite ones as some kind of final musical achievement. But why not focus on video's as well and at least reach a few other people. I've never imagined making video's would be so much fun to do and they would reach so many people around the world.
Thank you all for taking the time to watch my video's and I hope I will be able to keep recording a while longer with a lot more video's.

I expect my album 'Like Simon' to be released on August 15, 2022. Most of the songs are written by Paul Simon, so for me this is a tribute to him! Many songs from the early @officialpaulsimon repertoire feel like they were written especially for me to sing. Beautiful songs from his album ‘Song Book’ I sometimes even like better from Paul Simon solo rather than S&G versions.
