I’m Chibs Okereke, and I create sleep meditations and sleep hypnosis to help you unwind, switch off, and drift into deep rest.
My meditations have helped millions find better sleep, less anxiety, and more peace. I’m a meditation instructor on the Calm app, an accredited mindfulness facilitator, and a certified clinical hypnotherapist.
I started making these because I’ve been there myself: anxiety, stress, insomnia, nervous system dysregulation, burnout. I know what it’s like when your mind won’t stop and your body won’t let you rest.
My goal is simple: to help you feel supported, safe, and settled enough to sleep.

This is a unique kind of meditation. I’m not even sure “meditation” is the perfect label, but it’s the closest thing I’ve got.
I reckon the perfect time for it is just before bed, but this is something you can listen to any time of the day, and it will also works as a sleep talk-down if you want to drift off to it 😴
For your first listen though, I’d love for you to hear it all the way through. I’m genuinely proud of this piece. It blends a bunch of things I love, meditation, coaching, spoken word, and music, all in one place.
I edited the music and the video myself, so this one feels like my baby. I got weirdly emotional making it… writing the words, putting the music to it, choosing the clips, and shaping the whole thing into something that feels honest.
The simple idea at the heart of it:
Perfectionism often isn’t about high standards.
It’s about trying to avoid a feeling…
- Judgement.
- Embarrassment.
- Criticism.
- That horrible “I knew I shouldn’t have done that” spiral.
I’m really curious what it lands like for you.

A few of you have emailed me about anxiety that shows up mainly in the stomach…
that tight knot in the belly… bloating… nausea… churning… or sprinting to the bathroom when stress hits.
It is not something I personally struggle with, so I have not created a specific gut focused meditation before… but if a lot of you deal with this, I would love to dig into the science and build something that genuinely helps.

This one is for those nights when your mind won’t switch off… and your body is still stuck in “on” mode, even though you’re exhausted.
We start with slow, easy breathing to gently engage your vagus nerve… then move into a full hypnotic body scan… helping your whole system get the message that it’s safe to rest.
After that, calming affirmations repeat quietly in the background… gradually fading softer and softer as you drift off… so your conscious mind can sleep while the deeper parts of you keep soaking in signals of safety and rest.
It won’t magically fix everything in one night… but it can soften the edges… create a bit more space… and help teach your body what deep, steady sleep can feel like again.

It’s a long, through-the-night hypnosis to help ease pain, calm your nervous system, and drift into deeper rest. You can press play as you get into bed and let it stay on all night.
It might not take away all the pain, but it can help soften the edges, create some space, and help you get through the night with a bit more ease.
The first part gently guides you with soft breath awareness and body-based relaxation… helping to ease tension, soften pain, and using gentle imagery to help you set discomfort to one side as you drift into deeper comfort.
After that, the healing affirmations repeat quietly in the background… fading softer and softer as you sleep.
Nothing to push. Nothing to manage. Just a calm space to rest in.
And if what you’re feeling is more emotional than physical right now… this is for that too. It can sit with you in the background while you rest… offering a little softness and support where you need it.

I would love some feedback on my brand new Deep Sleep Meditation! I recorded this one late at night when I was sleepy, and I slowed the pace of my voice down a bit more than usual.

My goal is to create the perfect meditation, haha (I'd better go and watch one of my perfectionism videos!! 🤣).
Anyway... this new session gently activates the vagus nerve (your body's natural relaxation system) through slow breathing, body awareness, and soothing affirmations.
It's perfect if you've had a long or stressful day, or if you often wake in the night and find it hard to settle again.
Also...
From now on, whenever you see the pink “NEW” sign in the top corner, you’ll know it’s a completely new meditation with brand new words. I often post different versions for different preferences... some of you like my voice only, some prefer pink noise, and others enjoy nature sounds. So keep an eye out for that “NEW” label, and I’ll make it clear in the title what the background sound is so you can find your favourites more easily.

So I was meditating… and then Zee decided to jump up and nestle next to my head.
At first, I stopped meditating because, well… i found it funny and wanted to take a picture… plus it’s hard to stay zen when you’ve got a furry tongue in your ear.
