I’m Chibs Okereke, and I create sleep meditations and sleep hypnosis to help you unwind, switch off, and drift into deep rest.
Sleep is foundational to everything, mental health, emotional regulation, focus, and resilience, yet around 1 in 3 adults don’t get enough sleep, leaving their nervous systems stuck in overdrive.
My meditations have helped millions find better sleep, less anxiety, and more peace. I’m a meditation instructor on the Calm app, an accredited mindfulness facilitator, and a certified clinical hypnotherapist.
I started making these because I’ve been there myself: anxiety, stress, insomnia, nervous system dysregulation, burnout. I know what it’s like when your mind won’t stop and your body won’t let you rest.
My goal is simple: to help you feel supported, safe, and settled enough to sleep.
Subscribe for new sleep meditations, sleep hypnosis, and relaxation journeys.

You like floating? OK, let’s go to Zero Gravity…
I made this for the nights when you finally lie down in your bed… and then realise you’re still holding yourself up.
https://youtu.be/lUkFKxnR824
This one gently moves from that familiar end-of-day heaviness into something softer…
Where the body can stop bracing and let the bed do the work.
We introduce a simple gravity dial that speaks to your subconscious mind, and eases that desire of your body to hold on to the day… so that your body can feel supported, balanced, and eventually almost weightless.
I guide for a while, then the words step back and quiet affirmations continue softly in the background while sleep arrives.
If you listen tonight, I’m curious… did the heaviness settle first… or did that floaty feeling sneak in?
Much love,
Chibs 💙

I can’t believe it!!! We’ve just hit 200k subscribers!!!
When we crossed 100k, I was away on an Ayurvedic retreat in India because I was feeling a bit burned out…
I practiced what I preached by taking time out and slowing down… and in a plot twist, discovered I was born to wield a stick while learning Kalari (an ancient Indian martial art) 🤣
I paused to take in that milestone…
But WE never paused.
WE didn’t have a proper moment together.
It just sort of… happened.
200k feels different. Not because it’s a bigger number… but because this actually feels like a community* now.
So many of you trusting me to get you to sleep is not something I take lightly. This space exists because you show up.
So let’s mark it properly.
To celebrate, I’m going to host a special YouTube Live Q&A on Tuesday 3rd of March in most places, in Australia it will be Wednesday 4th March - 12pm Sydney Time (AEST):
Tue March 3rd at 5 PM (Los Angeles).
Tue March 3rd at 8 PM (New York).
Wed March 4th at 1 AM (London - Sorry! You can watch the replay).
Nothing polished. Nothing overproduced. Just us.
A chance to actually meet each other. To answer your questions. About meditation. Sleep. Burnout. The nervous system. The channel. The behind-the-scenes stuff.
And maybe even a short meditation, to prove to you that my voice is real… and I’m not an AI robot 🤣
Drop your questions below.
If you see a question you really want answered, hit the thumbs up on it. The most liked questions and the most repeated themes are the ones I’ll prioritise in the Live.
Thank you for trusting me with your nights.
Much love,
Chibs 💙
*by the way… I’m about 5 weeks away from having my new app ready that will have a community page, so we can be an even more engaged community soon!

If you’ve ever slept with my vagus nerve meditation playing through the night… this will feel familiar.
https://youtu.be/1zGqjOxClF4
I’ve re-recorded one of the most loved sleep meditations on the channel.
It’s been listened to over 1.5 million times in the last 10 months… and for a long time it has held the #1 spot here. So many of you have told me it’s the one that finally helped you sleep through the night.
But over the past year, the channel has gently shifted towards slower guidance… more space… softer pacing… and so many of you have said how much you love that rhythm.
So I’ve brought this meditation into that slower style.
But that’s the only thing that’s changed. It still guides you through gentle breath awareness, balanced breathing to stimulate the vagus nerve, and a full body scan that follows the spine… helping your system shift into rest and digest.
There’s soothing pink noise underneath… and the full cycle loops quietly through the night. If you wake up at any point, there’s nothing to restart. Just let my voice carry you back down.
Same structure. Slower delivery. More space to breathe.
If you listen tonight, I’d genuinely love to know… does this version help you settle more deeply?
Much love,
Chibs 💙

Help me choose the next overnight affirmations sleep hypnosis…
I’m planning my March/April videos, and I want to know what YOU need help with right now.
HOW TO VOTE:
* Comment the NUMBER (or the topic).
* One topic per comment, but you can leave multiple comments.
* LIKE the ones you agree with (that’s the upvote).
1. Self-acceptance / shame relief
2. Confidence
3. Self-worth / self-esteem
4. Self-love
5. Overthinking + racing thoughts
6. Anxiety relief + feeling safe
7. Deep sleep (staying asleep / 3am wake-ups)
8. Perfectionism + harsh self-talk
9. Boundaries + people-pleasing
10. Burnout recovery / rest permission
Quick note: most (if not all 😅) of these are things I’ve worked through myself too… so please don't feel judged!
One idea I’m considering is self-acceptance / shame relief, because it’s something I’ve personally been looking at recently.
I’m a little undecided on whether it’s a true “sleep topic”… so I’d genuinely love to know if that’s something you’d want as an overnight affirmations session.
I’ll compile the top requests and run a poll to pick which one we do first.
With love,
Chibs 💙

Ever notice how anxiety waits until your head hits the pillow to start talking?
Brand new meditation to help you let go of anxiety, fear, and worry as you drift off to sleep…
https://youtu.be/kSJe-tdwH58
This one is for those nights when your body is tired, but your mind won’t stop replaying, planning, or quietly panicking.
There’s no fixing here.
No analysing.
No “why am I like this?”
There’s a gentle visualisation journey, almost like a sleep story, to help you set things down for the night.
Then my voice fades back and gentle affirmations continue quietly in the background while you rest.
What’s keeping you up most tonight… replaying, planning, or worry…?
Much love,
Chibs 💙

I re-recorded the meditation that started everything for me.
https://youtu.be/blHsHE5lc20
It was my first ever viral meditation on YouTube.
The perfectionist in me tenses up when I listen to the original. I can hear every pop, click, and mouth noise. I'm still keeping it on YouTube though... it’s where I started… and it’s honestly nice to see how far I’ve come.
So I’ve redone it… with slightly updated language… a little more space and pacing… and a whole lot more care in the audio.
And it was so enjoyable to edit. I completely forgot how much I love piano in a meditation. Piano doesn’t really suit my sleep meditations, so it was a real pleasure bringing it back… and editing it properly… letting the music breathe… and giving you more space to breathe too.
This one was satisfying to edit because it’s the kind of meditation people tend to listen to from start to finish. With sleep meditations, most of you are asleep in the first 20 minutes (as you should be 😂)… but I’m still meticulous all the way through anyway.
We’ll use extended exhale breathing, progressive relaxation along the vagus nerve pathway, and a simple “I am safe” anchor… to help the body shift toward rest and digest.
And at the end… I share the same poem from the original… my absolute favourite, “The Mountain”… a reminder that rest is not defeat.
It feels good to come back to where this all started… and to share it with you in a way that matches where I’m at now.
Much love,
Chibs 💙

If you’re tired… eyes heavy but the mind is still alert… this stronger-than-usual deep sleep hypnosis is for you.
https://youtu.be/OTWq8dZh7NU
It’s designed for nights when your body is ready for sleep, but something in your system is still switched on.
We’ll slow the breath, lengthen the exhale, and give your nervous system a clear signal that it’s safe to let go… then use simple, direct hypnotic language to guide you deeper and deeper into rest.
This one is very strong… and you might not hear the ending at all.
If anything feels like a lot tonight, please take it at your own pace.
If you try it, tell me how it landed for you…
Much love,
Chibs 💙

Is AI slop ruining YouTube?
I’m not anti-AI in principle.
AI could improve healthcare, education, accessibility (captions, translation), and speed up research in ways that genuinely help people.
But on YouTube, it feels like it’s being used mainly to mass-produce low-effort content. And it’s spilling into the one area where “low-effort” matters most: anything that’s meant to land in someone’s heart.
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve listened to something that sounded deep, soothing, even “wise”… then realised halfway through it was an AI script with an AI voice. And it honestly feels like being tricked.
If it’s AI-generated, just say so up front. I want to choose what I’m listening to.
I listen to a lot of Alan Watts, and now I only trust videos that are over 2 years old, or I go straight to Audible, because I can’t trust YouTube recommendations anymore.
When I record my meditations, I’m not just reading words. I’m FEELING something while I record. I’m imagining a real person on the other side, and trying to help them feel safe and cared for. And I like to believe that comes through in a way AI simply can’t.
Is that woo woo? Or is that science? I don’t know. But I know what it feels like in my body when it’s real… and I know what it feels like when it’s fake.
Are you noticing this too? What’s the worst example you’ve come across?

Someone is impersonating me on YouTube under the name Thalos Dawn 😢
youtube.com/@ThalosDawn-m8u
They’re re-uploading my meditations exactly as they are, and they’re even using photos of me on the thumbnails.
One of the pictures is me sitting cross-legged too… so that's how we know they are AI-generated... it’s been a very long time since these 50-year-old hips could pull that off 🤣🧘🏾
On one level, it’s a weird compliment. But I don’t want anyone thinking it’s me and then getting interrupted by adverts during a meditation.
For clarity: I’ve requested YouTube not to place adverts during any of my meditations. So if you ever hear adverts interrupting a “Chibs” meditation, that upload isn’t from me.

If your body is exhausted but your mind is still busy, this is for you.
https://youtu.be/Pl4gQfWppMo
Brand new… Sleep meditation for exhaustion, fatigue and burnout
This is for the nights when you are running on empty, but sleep is not coming easily.
Use it tonight if you feel wired-tired, braced, or you keep waking and cannot fully settle.
It helps by slowing the body, lengthening the exhale, and giving your nervous system permission to stop holding everything up.
There is a calming vagus nerve moment through the spine, and then I thin out the words so the background sounds can carry you.
If anything feels like a lot tonight, please take it at your own pace.
And please let me know, how are you arriving tonight?
A) exhausted
B) wired
C) heavy
D) numb
Comment A, B, C or D so I know what tonight looks like for you.
I hope you have a wonderful sleep 😴☺️
Much love,
Chibs 💙
