New publication alert!

My colleague, David Goldman, and I discuss the asymmetrical application of the "careful planning" caveat to plant-based diets, but not to most other dietary patterns, despite the positive health outcomes associated with plant-based diets.

Do plant-based eaters need to be concerned about getting enough protein?

I participated in ‪@forksoverknives‬’ latest debate episode, along with Dr. Neal Barnard, to address that question and more.

I wasn’t expecting this review to be published in such quick succession after our previous review, but I’ll take it! This time we discuss some issues with referencing the Maasai as evidence for the healthfulness of a carnivore-style diet. There’s some really fascinating info about their unique genetic makeup, among other differences from industrialized populations. Let me know what you learned!
