Dr. Rachael Mahmood was named the 2024 Illinois Teacher of the Year, by the Illinois State Board of Education. She is currently an elementary school educator, and an engaging and activational facilitator on topics related to equity in education, including: culturally relevant instruction, culturally responsive teaching, implicit bias, minority parent involvement, and multicultural curriculum.
