This channel is dedicated to history, military history and things of interest. It all started with a conversation, over whatsapp, between Charlie and I. I was in Normandy at the time, on the 80th anniversary of D-day, Charlie told me about his Great Uncle, James Matthew Schablik.
James was killed on the 28th December 1944, he is buried in the US military cemetery in Hamm Luxembourg. I will be visiting James's grave in December.
Andy Adkins has been extremely helpful and supportive. His book "You Can't Get Much Closer Than This" has proved invaluable as has his help and support. www.80thdivision.com/
Guy Eisen, from the Musee National d'Histoire Militaire, has also been very helpful and given me permission to video around the museum. I will be visiting there in late December. https;//www.mnhm.lu
In November there is a reunion in Thionville, France for the Moselle River 1944 Association. I will be attending for the 80th ID www.moselleriver1944.org/fr/invitation.html
