Welcome to Jamrock's Learning Journey.
Jamaica's past, present and future — and the lines running between them.
I'm Rohan, a Jamaican educator. This channel takes today's questions back to the historical record, then brings the answer forward again: why the land sits where it sits, who development is serving, and what kind of country is being built right now.
What you'll find here:
SHOULD YOU RETURN? — the diaspora decision, examined honestly rather than sold
HISTORY OF JAMAICA & THE CARIBBEAN PEOPLE — the records, the documents, the story told properly
DEVELOPMENT NOW — land, coastline, housing, infrastructure, and who gains
OBEAH & JAMAICAN FOLK BELIEF — taken seriously, not sensationalised
ON THE ROAD — going out, meeting people, and the history behind the place
Long-form documentary, two videos a month. Every location named. Every claim checked against the record, not the internet.
