Hello! I'm an Anglo-Saxonist, specialising on Britain from 400-1066. Strictly speaking, I'd narrow my special area into the early portion of this period (c.400-800), and into Old English Poetry.
However, I also make videos on other topics when inspiration strikes. These include, but are not limited to:
- Norse mythology & cultural history (Vikings, of course)
- Polynesian navigation methods
- Nuclear war plans in the UK
This is probably bad for the algorithm, but the point of this YouTube channel is to give me an outlet for the topics I read on.
I received a BA(Hons) in History from the University of Chester, and an MA in Medieval History from the University of York. A PhD is on the to do list, but it's one of those things which was a casualty of Covid.
