We live in a society where a mothers pregnant belly is beautiful until she gives birth.
Some would say my belly looks nasty, some would advice me to cover/hide my belly, some would give me unpleasent looks & some would find me unattractive.
But to me, these stretch marks tell a story, a story of one of the most important stages of my life, a story of my biggest accomplishment, a story about how i carried my son for over 9 months & brought him into this world safe n sound.
And if you know me, you know my skin has been and still is my biggest insecurity since i suffer from extreme excma full body ( a story yall not ready for ) so having these stretch marks were a big deal to me & i wasnt happy about them.
Our bodies go through drastic changes inside out during & after pregnancy that effects our minds positively or negatively, which is why we should be more gentle and kind towards our bodies.
Through this post i want to encourage & send positive vibes to EVERYONE worried about their bodies, especially us moms because ”bouncing back” to the bodies we had pre pregancy might be a hard battle for some & not seeing bodies likes this beign out there in public that much nor praised as much as it freaking should you might think you are alone like this, well you aint. Sis is here too - i am sis - sis is me 🙋🏽♀️.
This is normal, are bodies are normal, we are normal, we are phenomenal. 💪🏾"

A daughter needs a dad to be the standard against which she will judge all men. The fact that she has TWO has already put you out of the running 🤪

"‘When will you have a family’
‘Do you want kids’
‘Better start trying’
‘Not getting any younger’
Just a few of the casual dinner conversations that are had about fertility and having children!
Having a child isn’t as easy for everyone as they tell you in school where you have Sex once and you just pop out a healthy baby 9 months later
For many it’s heartbreak, month after month of agonising over if the rest has an extra line on, shinning a light through it, inverting the image, tracking periods and having sex like a regimented regime!
For us it was 6 years, for others it’s much more!
We went through ovarian drilling’s, tube clearing, clomid, metformin, weight loss, special diets, Accupuncture...nothing worked!
Here’s me on transfer day and that’s Leo as a day 5 blastocyst embryo
‘Better than textbook A* embryo’ is what we were told. We were so thankful to be able to be successful first time, so to then go on to have a PPROM and only get to keep Leo for 8 days was heartbreaking.
Then 2 natural rainbow babies just to add to the story even more!
I get so angry when people tell me they’ve been asked these fertility questions, it takes me back to crying in a toilet and distancing myself from anyone that was having a baby purely to preserve my own broken heart!
Before you ask someone about having a family just stop and think, then just don’t ask. You never know what someone is going through that they’re not ready to talk about publicly!"

“When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to breastfeed. Especially as a Registered Dietitian, I knew breastmilk was best. When I found out I was having #twins, self doubt definitely started creeping in, but I researched like crazy and realized it was possible. When my twins came, they latched and we started around the clock feedings.
From cracked nipples to tandem feeding, I exclusively nursed for 2 weeks then switched to #exclusivelypumping until they turned 13 months, so my babies could still receive my breastmilk. Exclusively pumping gave me my sanity back. I’ve pumped literally everywhere, from in the car on the way to work to on vacation in Miami, and even at the #Dreamville fest (I had to go see J. Cole)
Even with the ups and downs, I wouldn’t change my breastfeeding journey for anything. It’s hard, but definitely worth it.”
