“When I found out I was pregnant, I knew I wanted to breastfeed. Especially as a Registered Dietitian, I knew breastmilk was best. When I found out I was having #twins, self doubt definitely started creeping in, but I researched like crazy and realized it was possible. When my twins came, they latched and we started around the clock feedings.
From cracked nipples to tandem feeding, I exclusively nursed for 2 weeks then switched to #exclusivelypumping until they turned 13 months, so my babies could still receive my breastmilk. Exclusively pumping gave me my sanity back. I’ve pumped literally everywhere, from in the car on the way to work to on vacation in Miami, and even at the #Dreamville fest (I had to go see J. Cole)
Even with the ups and downs, I wouldn’t change my breastfeeding journey for anything. It’s hard, but definitely worth it.”
