What I love about at-home yoga is the chance to tend to both your physical body and the emotional body. Through the lens of yoga, the emotional body is seen as an important, yet impermanent, layer of our being. Yoga offers us the tools to process and work with our emotions, rather than suppressing or denying them. Just as ocean waves come and go. When tended to with breath, movement, and awareness, it becomes a doorway to deeper self-understanding rather than an obstacle.
In today’s practice, you are given the opportunity to dance with all that comes up for you. What would happen if you held yourself, like a dear friend? What if you allowed yourself to sit with what is, without judgment?
I am reminded of an affirmation my Mom would say to me growing up:

We are moving beyond just the physical to acknowledge the consciousness that makes up our essence, our way of being, our way of walking in the world. Because how we show up matters and yoga teaches us that we get to choose how we show up.
