WORKBENCH FOR THE MIND
Grief is an unimaginable experience!
But what makes it harder is not understanding what is happening? How your brain works and why you are feeling the way you are.
I know because I have been there in 2018 I sadly lost my son Murray (Muzz) to suicide and I am still a work in progress!
I am a trusted Mental Health First Aid Trainer, serving clients such as BHP and government agencies. I am also the founder of "Workbench for the Mind," an accredited program with Suicide Prevention Australia. With a Diploma in Positive Psychology and Wellbeing, I am an author with my debut book 'GRIEF', speaker, and a certified facilitator.
I also serve as a member of the Suicide Prevention Australia SA regional committee.
I firmly believe that people of all ages don't need to "toughen up" to navigate life's challenges; instead, they need to understand how the basics of the brain work. This led me to create "Workbench for the Mind”. The program takes its inspiration from my son Muzz's and his favourite place, the workbench, and serves as a metaphor for how our brains, much like a well-stocked workshop, have the potential to construct a better, more resilient life-provided we have the right tools and knowledge at our disposal.
Let me guide you through some tools that have helped me navigate my own grief and have shown me how to be able to function more effectively alongside grief .
