I started this channel to share our adventures - and misadventures - as we carve a homestead out of the woods. It's about the dreams of a couple who've decided it is time to simplify and enjoy a more sustainable, back to nature, simpler life. What started out as simply a piece of land to put a house on has morphed into the dream to build a homestead that reflects our values and seeks to live in harmony with our environment rather than beat it into submission.
We hope you enjoy watching us learn as we build our home and expand our homestead to become as self sufficient and sustainable as possible. We will share the good, the bad, and the ugly. And as we learn more about ourselves and the land we love, you can be a part of that growth.
We are at an age when people think we should be slowing down and getting ready for the easy chair life. We feel like we are just beginning to really live and fully enjoy life.
