I started this channel to share our adventures - and misadventures - as we carve a homestead out of the woods. It's about the dreams of a couple who've decided it is time to simplify and enjoy a more sustainable, back to nature, simpler life. What started out as simply a piece of land to put a house on has morphed into the dream to build a homestead that reflects our values and seeks to live in harmony with our environment rather than beat it into submission.

We are at an age when people think we should be slowing down and getting ready for the easy chair life. We feel like we are just beginning to really live and fully enjoy life.
