UPDATE: On 3/24/2026, Raimey received a new lease on life when she had a Combined Heart and Liver Transplant.
Resilient Raimey is the story of our 16 year old daughter, living with a Single Ventricle Heart, also known as Hypoplastic Right Heart Syndrome.
Raimey had the Glenn and the Fontan open heart surgeries.
Raimey received no medical care for the first two-and-a-half years of her life in an orphanage. This has likely impacted her heart function and caused some of these longer term effects to occur sooner than would be normal.
Nonetheless, RESILIENT Raimey keeps on fighting her battle with Congenital Heart Disease. She lives big and has a boisterous personality (except on camera)! Raimey loves family, cats, cooking, swinging and writing stories.
Come along on our journey as we discuss the next phase of the journey: heart transplant. And, share about things we have learned along the way living this life of faith in a God with a much greater plan than we could ever understand.
