Mitochondrial Eve (ME), the Mother of Humanity, is The Black Doll Affair’s (BDA) human family heirloom and documentary series.
Founded in 2007 by Mama Doll, BDA is a self-esteem movement working to heal the impact of historic doll tests, when Black children were taught to see white dolls as “good” and Black dolls as “bad.”
Through education and storytelling, BDA celebrates racial harmony and our shared human origin.
