Welcome to The Black Doll Affair (TBDA), founded by Mama Doll, a Barack Obama Presidential Volunteer Service Award-winning self-esteem movement.

Since 2007, TBDA has welcomed members such as Beverly Johnson, Taye Diggs, Gabrielle Union, Misty Copeland, Danny Strong, Shuler King, the late Naomi King and thousands of citizens who continue to prove that confidence is contagious and Black is beautiful! Seen in Essence, Oprah, Vanity Fair and Vogue, we are The Black Dolls!

We celebrate Black women & girls by encouraging sisterhood, love for the Doll in the mirror, kindness towards the Doll next door, and compassion through philanthropy. Reversing Doll Tests results, where children identified the Black doll as bad and ugly, we promote and donate toy black dolls for positive play. Healthy confidence and good ol' fashioned fun through memorable event experiences, these are the Affairs of The Black Dolls!
