I must share a huge Thanks to all of my UK subscribers who have been so generous as to buy a keyring as shared in my latest video .
There were 50 units put up on Ebay and they sold out in less than 24 hours .
I certainly was not expecting that .
I spent last evening frantically trying to work out what to do and packing/ labelling and prepping them to go. A huge thanks to my wife for calling in to the post office with all of those parcels today and to the post office staff who helped with the stamps etc. This said, I will make more and maybe put 20 for sale at a time to prevent being swamped.
When ebay pay out I will be donating £1 from every sale to Alzheimer's research as promised via my employers charity fund of the year.
So to anyone that wants one, They will be back in stock soon . Right, Back to the shed it is then .

Having started the Mini lathe project , I am wondering where the basic design originated . The vast majority of this type of machine are made in China and have become cheapened and the attention to detail is dreadful . I know that the are made to a price and totally understand the concept. I am not saying that Chinese goods are inherently bad , I am aware that some excellent products can be made. There has often been a culture of copy a product but make it cheaper. This culture certainly has its place and opens up ownership to those with a lesser budget. I am well aware that my machinery comes from that part of the world and due to the fact that it is made to a higher spec than the generic stuff , it is fine with a few quality improvements . Basically my Question is . What was the original brand mini lathe ? before it got to China to be badly copied. It would be interesting to know the origins . Cheers Ade.
