One thing I absolutely LOVED about this anime is how male friendships were interpreted here. I love how each male character is emotional and complex, instead of just being a "tough man". I also liked how Rintaro's friend group just wanted him to trust them and open up to them. Despite having their own disputes, they understood boundaries and respected each other enough NOT to fist-fight each other every other second, it's something I often don't see in male friendships around me. Most male friendships around me are just about fighting and showing dominance and telling each other they're gonna fck their mothers and sisters and shi (YES, this is a daily occurrence for me).

I really wish male friendships were as healthy as shown in this anime :C
