He began his career in 1991 when he secured a record deal for his group MF911 with the Next Plateau Records Inc./London Records-PolyGram labels. In addition to his career as a musician, Singleton has worked as radio disc jockey, which first began in 1994 at Detroit's FM98 WJLB station.
