Born in Boston, Stephen Brodsky is is a descendent of punk/hardcore and best known as vocalist/guitarist/songwriter in the Massachusetts-based band Cave In. Brodsky and co. brought a dizzying array of sounds to the world of metal hardcore at a time when musical exploration within that scene was just beginning.
Additionally, Brodsky is known for fronting the gonzo metal rock trio Mutoid Man, birthed in Brooklyn in 2012 alongside kit-crusher Ben Koller (Converge) and now boasting the mighty Jeff Matz from Grammy-award winning High On Fire on bass.
Very much leading a life of loud, Brodsky has managed to find time for quieter ventures over the years with projects like Droneflower with Sacred Bones artist Marissa Nadler, as well as a myriad of solo releases - many of which feature his distinctive audio-engineering skills at the helm.
