Hello everyone, I am so happy to come back to regular uploads. Early in 2024 I decided to take a "break" to focus more on my composition & production, for more than a year I studied and written a ton of music.
Now that chapter has ended and I can open up the next chapter.

I will first publish a couple of covers then make an announcement concerning my original work !
This song "Lament Of The Highborne" is a famous song from World Of Warcraft The Burning Crusade.

It is the song sung by Sylvanas Windrunner & her banshees.

I wanted to do a rendition of this difficult song for quite some time... my first attempts were made back in 2020 !

We filmed the video in a private chapel near my home.

It has now been more than a year that I've been working almost exclusively on my first original album.
An album that would be centered around the Erhu, but also written from a western musical sensiblity.

For months I tried to come up with ideas that would place the Erhu as a leading voice, and not just an ethnical musical tool as it is often the case in western music that use the instrument.

At some point I seriously started to doubt if it was even possible, and with the stress of not producing stuff for my channel and being less active, it was a pretty challenging time.

...

Then, a first song was completed. A bit unique, a bit complex to produce, but a first at last.

Then another one, this time more simple, more natural.

Then another one, now starting to see some patterns, some new "formulas" for the Erhu to shine.

And It has been a year and I am now slowly approaching completion for the album...

Most importantly, I feel I reached a new stage in my musical journey. Publishing original music has always been my #1 goal and soon it will finally happen with this first album.

It's going to take a bit more work, but I am hoping for an announcement later this year !

I am very glad to see the warm welcome to my Dune video !

The production on this video was especially though, combining a difficult audio production with a long and complex filming in the sweeping sands.

This was also probably one of my last "big" cinematic project before a while as I want to free all my time to complete my solo 1st album.
