This channel is mainly about my drone captures above the ocean. I am an FAA certified drone pilot filming sharks for Nat Geo, Discovery, & various media around the world. My goal is to use photography and drones to bring awareness to wildlife and the nature around us using real life documentation. I welcome collaborations with scientists whenever possible. I'm back in California on the search for sharks. Great Whites have been very hard to find this year. Weather, fire debris, colder water, have all effected the conditions. I hope May yields better results. If you haven't seen my latest video from Baja California, please check it out. I went on a shark search there and got sidetracked so many times by the abundance of marine life. Hope you enjoy those vlog style travel videos. Last week in Baja California, I filmed a pod of orcas completely take down a humpback whale. It was brutal, but I also noticed a bull shark and some silky sharks traveling alongside the orcas after the kill. The sharks were attracted to the blood and the orcas could care less about them. Anyhow....here's some of the best humpback whale footage I've filmed so far in Baja. I may release the orca footage eventually depending on licensing agreements. Just wrapped up a two week expedition into Baja California. Found some beautiful bull sharks, lemon sharks, and reef sharks. I'm still searching for great whites here in California but haven't seen any yet. I'll be back out this weekend searching.

Here's a preview of the episode about sharks I helped make with the team at Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom last year. Last week, I helped the team film an episode about gray whales in Baja California, Mexico. It was truly a remarkable film shoot that will undoubtedly be a must watch episode. Next week, for my Ocean Talks Episode, I'm interviewing Dr. Gavin Naylor. He is the director of the Florida Program for Shark Research and head of the International Shark Attack File (ISAF). It is the world’s only scientifically documented, comprehensive database of all known shark attacks.

So sharks are still not making an appearance in Southern California yet. First time in 5 years, I've not seen a shark in January. The debris and sludge from the fires has to be taking a toll. So I went out looking for orcas instead. Hope you don't mind a variety of marine content other than sharks for the time being. Still, finding a newborn orca is pretty incredible. Hope you enjoy this video.
