True Star presents “Stand Up for True Star,” a comedy fundraiser to raise funds that will support providing underserved youth a transformative work experience where they learn their voice matters and find the confidence to use it.
🎙️ Hosted by comedian and actor, Michael Issac, who has been featured on HBO’s Southside and has performed stand up all over the world.
The show will also feature Lele Mason and America’s Got Talent hypnotist Chris Jones, as well as True Star’s own students, Gary Langield Jr., and Jakyla Hester who has gone through a “stand-up” training with Michael Issac and will be doing a three minute set along with our alumni and published author Kia Smith. Also performing is True Star board member Corey Richardson!
