-Planning next year
-"OUTWORKING" your competition in December
-Working overtime because it's the "most important" month for the company


Rest IS NOT:

-A crime
-An admission that you are weak
-A sign that you are willing to let people down


Rest will:

-Renew your energy
-Remind you of what's important
-And help you enjoy and reflect on what you've accomplished


And if you feel like you've accomplished nothing and you don't deserve rest.

Like there's a voice inside of you that says: I'M NOT GOOD ENOUGH


There is no amount of work will ever make you FEEL GOOD ENOUGH PERMANENTLY
(You have so many years of work to prove it)



Stop trying to fill the hole in your heart with more work

Spend time with your wife
Spend time with your family
Spend time with the people you don't call anymore

And ENJOY DECEMBER

6 Years ago a client paid me $7 to setup their Google ads (Well $10 before Upwork took their 30% cut)

I know this sounds crazy but it was a life changing amount of money for me.

-I quit my job to start a freelance business
-I was broke
-I didn't even have food in my home nevermind a business plan

This was the first time someone trusted me to setup their ads

Fast forward 6 Years later I'm charging $350 per hour to do Google ads consulting (And weird part is I don't even touch the ads, the clients do the work)

So what changed? How did I go from $10 per job to $350 per hour

Here's what most Google ads freelancers are doing wrong:

1. You promise the client too much

Telling the client you can "DEFINITELY" get them results is how your client know that you're an amateur.

Business owners know that nothing in life is guaranteed least of all business results.

When you say you can definitely get them 100 more leads but you haven't looked at their industry, their previous results or their ad account.

You are overpromising

Actually to put it more bluntly YOU ARE LYING!

It's better to promise the client a 5% increase in leads than to promise them that you'll double their business in the next 3 months.

This is also why you feel so stressed out all the time as a freelancer BTW because you are faking it

2. What you charge says more about you then your experience

When you charge more you position yourself as the guy who knows what he is doing.

Image you were hiring a body guard

-You see one body guard charges $5 per hour
-You see the next one charges $50 per hour
-Then you see another one charging $5000 per hour

Automatically without any more information, you'll assume that the big dogs must hire the $5000 per hour guy.

Now when you charge the average price for your services $25 - $55 p/hour

Guess what?

The clients think ahh this is a average freelancer with average skills that will get me average results

And then they try, pay you even less because average is everywhere

3. Doing Meta, Google and TikTok ads at the same time is hurting you

I have no doubt that you are smart and more than capable of learning and doing 3 platforms at the same time.

But clients don't see it that way, they want experts with deep expertise in 1 THING ONLY

Clients will pay far more for a Google ads guy that just works with just pet stores

The more you niche the higher the paycheck

All of the above are mistakes that I made when I started
